Don't trust ico prices. When they go exchange, you will see that the price of the token has fallen by more than 50% from the ICO price. I have a hard time believing the new token.

I want to ask something what happen when for example there is token just finished ico and the price 1$ and some people sell 1000 token. I mean what happen if no one want to buy this token. is that make project die?  cause i believe theres will be no volume.
Today it is the fate of many ICO projects. Ico projects have a presale time, and many of them buy a token. Some people choose to sell their ico tokens for various reasons. They need money or want to invest in another. It may also be the loss of confidence in that token. The fact that no one wants to buy it can only be the beginning, the volume may increase over time. But while the dev team did not leave the project, there is no reason for dying token.

The token price will drop to a minimum. And he'll be dead weight. A lot of coins and tokens end up like this.

From my observations, most times, Tokens tend to fall below their ICO price once they are listed, as a lot of buyers might not want to buy at that price, but once it falls a little below the ICO price, people begin to buy and then the price shoots up gradually, especially if the Token has good usage. On the other hand, if nobody buys at the $1 mark, the Token remains without volume, but this doesn't signify the death of the Token, if sellers decide to sell below the $1 price, it still doesn't mean the Token is dead, the Token begins to die if sellers begin to sell way below the $1 price (for example, selling at $0.0000001) that it gets to a point that nobody wants to sell at that price and nobody wants to even buy at that price. At this point, we can almost conclude that the Token is dead.

This is not the 100% rule that the absence of BIDs in the order book with tokens means dead project.

Without any trading volume, the project losses strength and would most likely wither away.
It's the job of the developers to create a product that would be applicable and relevant, and hence drive demand upwards.
And also investors should research and ensure that the product has practical value, as most people are into ICOs just for the profits.

The price of the project doesn't have to reflect what is happening with it. If there are no buy orders for 1$ then no one will be able to sell tokens for 1$.

It only depends on the developer if he/she ever wish to continue his/her project. Even though his/her project is not sold during the ICO pre sale he/she can find a way to sell his/her token and be able to support his/her project but if the developer has lose interest then the ico will die later on.

IMO the project only dies if the developers are going to leave it
Not only then, leaving also means not updating it on regular basis and there is limit to imagination of developer how he can keep interest by adding feature1 or feature2. Its not that easy as you think, developer can work his ass off for a year and people will say he abandoned project because they don't see any revelant stuff from it for them.

That won't happen immediately and the new coin or token still earn money but it's not enough to support their project. Later on their project will die afterwards. If their project failed to sell enough tokens, that will cost them their own money to continue their project if they decide to continue their project.

If it's happening with the project that gets a soft and hard cap then most of people just don't know about this exchange or don't want to use it.

If it's happening with the project that does not get even soft but decided to continue its development then bids and asks will be appearing in the order book as fast as the project will be reaching success in its business niche.

If no one wants to buy it. This doesnot mean its dead, but  some trader are also searchers,  maybe the new token has nothing to offer or maybe the trader are waiting for you to sell at low price. I saw some token like that, ICO price at 1$ but trade at less than the Ico price.

Leaving the technicality that order book says it is still $1, lets come to the practicality , If nobody wants to buy it then it is worthless and zero.

Let assume a real word scenario, you need to give rent to landlord and you offer the token. Landlord reject your token offer and ask give for money by selling token. Since there is no volume, you can not sell it so effective price of token is currently zero only.

No one wants to buy their token it means that they need more development.

IMO the project only dies if the developers are going to leave it and the market cap for that project goes to zero then that's certainly a dead coin at all. There will be no volume for that coin but if it still has the market cap then its not yet dead.

...

I think he meant that somebody sell 1000 tokens at $1/token, but nobody buy it. So, this token will be a dead-coin?

First, dead-coin mean this coins or tokens are valueless or their project is dead.

Second, no transaction do not mean that tokens are a dead-coin. And this rarely happen. No transaction does not cause dead-coin but dead-coin causes no transaction.

Price will be as is and will continue to be 1$ so long as no one will create a sell order lower than 1$. Keep in mind that price is reflected only when someone bought and sold some tokens and with that in mind,
So in other words its like stone on the ground, people passing by, noone care. People creating new tokens with copy paste from bitcoin and they dress it with beautiful words.
Shame on them, shame on people who believe them.
Price of most ICO's tokens will be non existent because only few are getting listed by exchanges even if they are, price could only getting lower from start because people want to get their money back at least or even anything.

Not necessarily "die" immediately lol. If that's the case, especially with low liquidity[1], chances are that price will drop. But also, "I mean what happen if no one want to buy this token." If it's the case that literally no one(zero) is buying, then the price will be stagnant.

Note: Price is not an indicator of a coin/token's success. Bitcoin can be as low as $100 but it would just work just as good as it does right now. With that said though, there are lots of shitcoins in the market so watch out.

Keep in mind that price is reflected only when someone bought and sold some tokens and with that in mind, so long as no trades below 1$ you should not worry about it. If someone puts a sell order lower than 1$ it also would not mean that the project will die. The only bad sign of a coin turning into a shitcoin is when it is slowly decreasing to 1 satoshi from 20 or more without an increase at all for a long time.

Obviously there's no demand for that coin and if the team will just staring their project to fall then it will eventually die. I mean, this is something that the team is working after the ico. They should have a marketing strategy to boost the liquidity of their token and will push through their roadmap.

One thing you should also look in a project is the usage of their token, I mean if their product is just an app then who the hell who'll buy their token. Also a buy back strategy is good to have a volume and this might interest others.
