Launch day has been changed to February 6 at 22:00 GMT. We will make sure all is in place before the launch. There will be changes to the name, designs, source code, wallets and block explorer will be ready.
The people has spoken and we appreciate all the support. Our apologies on jumping the gun but we thought the day was just too special for the launch.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree with you and we were thinking about delaying the launch as well.
We don't want to spoil a great thing so we will set a new launch date in 2 days.
I am sorry to all it didn't work out today. It would have made a statement launching it on World Cancer Day but it was great enough to have a pre announcemnet and get other people involved.
We are regrouping so please keep suggestions coming and any help is appreciated.

Dont get me wrong but if youre serious on this youd probably delay the launch! I like the idea of this coine very much. Eventhough we got similar ideas in prior altcoins allready i think that a coin which is heavily based on charity can be changing. But why would you release it today, with a missing wallet, and other important things that are "standard", even on most clones on here. Ok today is world cancer day and this would match everything, but risking the success of a good idea for such a formality is bad. Put more effort into descriptions and explanations before launch would be good too. I would be the first one to support a charity coin, however after reading your OP im not quiet sure if its a 100% serious. Make us, the miners comfortable supporting this, mentioning how much could be archieved with such a coin, probably a more depth explanation on medicine layer. Dont get me wrong again, im not going to say you dont mean this serious or even call you a scam or anything! Im just saying a coin that follows a very good purpose has high potential in my eyes. Even for the whole crypto currency. Im sure this would go to press and general media pretty fast if the community and the devs are serious about this.

In any case this is a good idea, and dont listen to all the scam calls!

The wallet is make or break. This coin is slated to go live in 30 minutes. I'm definitely interested, and not trying to be rude. But no wallet ready and rearing to go before it launches breaks the coin for me, the first blocks will get instamined by a small few if thats the case, and I won't be a part of that.

Some members use the source code to compile their own wallets.
Anyone interested in providing a Windows wallet in exchange for CancerCoins ?(need a few days before releasing any payment though)

We are open to suggestions. The idea was to have them to hold a wallet that would rise in price with the time and cash out when it has reached a substantial amount. They could do it several time along the years. I understand the fact they would not be considered "money" at first but eventually it would be valuable and would help to expose Crypto currency even further into mainstream. Bitcoin has been doing it but there still so many people who don't even know about it.
I am in hopes a currency exchange who could setup $ to CCC trading would step up.
Transparency is the key word to make this this Coin a success but we need  a lot of help and suggestions in setting up a better "way to do it".
We are many brains here so I am sure we will get somewhere in this subject!

Good questions. I'd like to know answers as well.

Kimoto's Graity Well diff retarget works very well on many coins. Why not implement it here? It will help to maintain a healthy diff according to network hash rate.

I'd like to support something like this, but where is the mention of transparency? How will you prove these funds are being given to charity, and how will they be? Charity will not accept this coin, not at this stage anyway, so you would have to sell on exchange (once a week?) to BTC, then BTC to $, then to bank account, and then transfer them funds to a charity. All of this will need to be proven to show you are a legitimate charity fundraiser.

We wanted the name to boldly describe what we are supporting. The short name is very convenient but it's meaning may get lost when it reaches mainstream.
So we decided to go for CancerCureCoin as some suggested.
But please keep your comments and suggestions coming as they are very valuable!
