Hello,  Cheesy

I am a ******* newbie both in BTC world and on this forum.  Cool
After looking some charts and some guys making predictions, my bet for BTC price is (BTC price is US$ 117.35 right now  Shocked )

A fall to US$ 100, some raise up  Huh and then
fall to US$ 94, raise up to US$ 100 or a bit more,  Angry and then
fall to US$ 20.   Cry and then after going wild near US$ 20 (  Lips sealed going wild means US$ 0.5 - US$30.0  Roll Eyes)
raise to US$ 2000.  Grin

What you think about it?  Kiss

I think I am better with smiles  Tongue

I think you had better stop cursing.  There's no need for that.  Does everyone involved with bitcoin have to use dirty words?  I like the moving pictures you got in your post.  We just don't need the curse words.

Any Bulls left or does everyone think BTC will tank (in the short term)?

Very volatile now at ~100, I think this is short term support.

At the moment Bitcoin price is subject to gossip and fears  more than will be in another couple of years once it can be used to buy more real things. For now, DDos attacks on mtgox (super-major trader)  spread panick sell, and rush to withraul funds. DDOs atacks have been very frequent  latlely and are a major threat to BTC adoption. Looking at the charts we can  see that ( probably ) some big holders are massive selling in betwin Dos, on specific ocasions.

I propose to stay quiete through the storm and wait. Few gain with the panik and mostly only those who can predict it. But I am not a economist and I am a newbie. This are just my 2 cents.

Hi everybody. I'm new to the BTC and this forum,but i'm not new to the ideea of btc. It will just grow,and if it will fail it will only fail because there will be a better version. None the less, BTC is a game changer and has the potential to free the world from the invisible shackles the banks have on 99 % of the population.

Well, everybody can make predictions Smiley

Here is my 2c:
If Bitcon stays, and gets wider acceptance the value in USD will go up. How much? Well, demand will depend on acceptance.

I see the exchanges as the biggest limits. So as soon as you can pay more places directly by BTC (meaning you don't have to exchange, merchants may will).

BTC is having such a rollercoaster that I wouldn't be surprised by large movement on either direction. Currently, it seems speculation is main reason for the price fluctuation, which in turn is  driven by traders/bots doing technical analysis and bitcoin related news. There's also that hype and interest factor to look for which brings in a lot of average people to throw in small sums making a river of demand (This already happened though).

Without very huge news, I think we will see slow decline to test 100 level at least. If 100 is broken, we'll go down a lot further until stabilization. Demand and price will increase in long-term if merchants and entrepreneurs can expand usability of bitcoins further thus leading to slow long-term growth with large fluctuations due to speculation. Exciting news such as huge corporation embracing the use of bitcoins will prolong the currently dwindling hype factor. These cannot be predicted accurately though, unless one has insider information. Conversely, we'll see crash if news are bad.

Just my two cents

Short term, who knows?  We just had a bubble and the price has been steady - at least as steady as Bitcoin goes - for a few weeks now.  It's hard to predict where prices will go short term.

Long term, though... say over the next few years?  I expect trend for the price of BTC will be up.  This is due to:
1) Distrust in governments and the use of crypto-currencies as a hedge against inflation;
2) The desire for some people to purchase... less-than-reputable goods or services;
3) The interest of people in general into Bitcoin (critical mass);
4) BTC will become very difficult to mine without ASIC equipment;
5) By its very design, BTC is deflationary.
People don't like uncertainty.  These are uncertain times.  That only bodes well for most crypto-currencies, but especially Bitcoin because it was established first and is the leader.

Just my thoughts.... which are worth about what you paid for them!  Roll Eyes
