Some people are trying to gain in BTC while others try to gain in euros.
If you are looking to measure your returns in euros (or similar) then you'll have to watch not only the price of your holdings but also the price in BTC. A large swing in price on BTC would potentially very heavily affect a return in euros across the portfolio so be sure to factor both long and short on the coins plus the long and short on your exit.

Maybe they face some problem with ripple may be when converting from other currency to XRP. Previously I made a transaction with coin payment but i never faced any problem with coin payments. I hope the issue will be resolved very soon.

At least they say they'll reimburse you. It was probably an unintentional glitch or bug rather than malicious.

To get access to the private active key, I need to log in with my password as well or private owner key.. To get access to the owner key I also need the password.. Stuck stuck stuck...
Why the hell all those paswords anyway ?
Imo it's to complicated for the average person, if they want to "overtake the world" they have to simplify those passwords.. To many people are going to have problems with it...

There just so many coins/ projects running. It makes it really difficult to be informed about all.. Also picking out the good most promising ones with every individual having an own opinion.. I'm feeling like a fish in the ocean
Because of that I thinks it's really important to diversify and not put all your money on one project..

Now... I messed it up :p
I noted my password on just a paper, I still have the paper though but it seems I made a mistake in writing it down... I already tried several of hundreds of combinations but I can't find to seem the right solution...
So I have Steem, I have an account on Steemit but I can't transfer the money.. Looks like I have paid some "learn money" to get familiar with crypto..
Lesson learned? Make back ups but not just on a single piece of paper witch can contain lots of human mistakes...
I'm still not giving up on the password but it seems like a mission impossible...

Ouch! I'm sorry you lost access! That said, it is controlled via a website with an email or facebook link or some kind of external connection. (It required facebook originally from what I understand but worked with just an email when I signed up) So.. you may be able to recover or reset your steem account, if you still have access to whatever other account you used. You can also try contacting the devs directly - they do help reset things, for example when a user posts a private key publically (I almost did lol)

Re: storing many many altcoins: There are multi-coin wallets. Just be careful, watch for viruses and malware, etc. I could use suggestions for a good one.
Contact support of Steemit lacks... Still didn't give me an answer.. After several days I tried the Steemit chat, where I did recieve an answer from Tim, an answer that was clear, that he could not help me to recover my account.
I can still log in with my posting key, I can see my Steem but I can't tranfer it..
Just imagine... that in a couple of years you see that you have several of thousands in your account but you can't take them...
There could maybe be a possibility to brute force but that's something I can't... I have the pasword, pbb 1 or 2 mistakes i it.. not sure..
SO if someone can help me with this or has some advice...
I like some of the picks but think a lot are based on speculation. I like Monero because of their track record and high privacy factor while at the same time are being used for their purpose. Lykke is interesting and probably my next addition to my portfolio. Hope you do well and good luck .

I think faster transactions, decentralized exhcnages, smart contracts isnt enough,because there are many crypto-currencies that also provides this features, and make it much earlier than others.
But I agree with you about other coins, going to research them and may be include in my portfolio too.

Hah I tried to buy some when I first heard about it. in v0.3. XD It was too hot for me to CPU mine.
