What are the specs of the computer for mining, and what software should I use?
Thanks in advance.  Cheesy
Any CPU will do but in GPU the minimum would be GTX1050ti up to GTX1080ti for Nvidia cards while RX480 up to RX Vega cards. Though you can't just mine bitcoins in that hardware because of the difficulties and traffics so better mine on low difficulty altcoins like Monero or Zcash. That's all and also be watchful on your electricity bills. So better plan ahead. Cheesy

Can we use personal computers for mining? Or will it need super computer with some high edged capabilities?
Yes U can use personal computers for mining. Look here to know about mining profit with usual GPUs http://whattomine.com/
I agree but in todays crypto's prices are so high and the difficulty for mining is also increasing that it may be not so profitable to mine in personal computers. Build mining rigs if you can if you some money to buy also mining for newbies like me is risky and not recommended.  Wink

How reliable are all these mining stuff? I learnt most are scam.
Most scams are from bitcoin or crypto doublers, those are kinds of "HYIP" sites or get-rich-quick schemes that lures newbies or unaware people who really wants to earn bitcoins so badly. It also comes in form of Cloud Mining, Faucets or other some "other" sites that ends in .xyz,.io,.yz.

Take note: Not all cloud mining sites or faucets are scams. And be sure to check the contents of the sites like its Contact Us or About Us pages and maybe check those scam verifiers on the internet so you can be sure on what risks you'll take.  Grin

Mining for Newbie in crypto currency is not recommended. Mining hardware and other cost associated with it will discourage you from the crypto world.

How to start bitcoin mining a good amount without investment?
Hello ,

I'm sure this question has been asked before. There is a guide to show you step by step how to mine for dummies ?
Lets say i want to start mining currency called " SHIELD "  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-xsh-tori2p-quantum-proof-mn-pospow-fully-ano-shield-2234453

Thank you
If you want to earn without investment and use GPU for mining then you can mine altcoins which will give you some profit..Bitcoins mining is not profitable as electricity consumption is more than your profit..so mine altcoins or best is to increase your rank here and join signature campaign or bounty campaigns..

Don't mine if you're a newbie. It would be a disaster, you'll loose all your money and that's all.

If you use graphics processors, then the result will not be as expected, and if it is achieved, it is not as fast as it would like. So all depends from your money!

If you want some ideas of how much a mining rig will cost you take a look at the links in my signature block. Its a few builds I put together for various budgets.

Very first thing you should consider is your budget and how would you run your mining business. Do you have your own place to stack your machines and do you already have the slightest idea on how much your total initial investment would be? How about the maintenance costs? Would you be able to sustain your mining non-stop 24/7? The next thing is thinking of what coin to use. The former is the hardest part since you need to research more on your hardware rather than the coin; you can change your mined coins as you wish but for your hardware it needs to be robust and built to last in order to generate you some profit.

One of the best for PC are the Claymores Miners.
U can read about that one https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-dual-ethereum-amdnvidia-gpu-miner-v150-windowslinux-1433925
or another using Google search
All the instructions you will see in the topic of the description of the miner.

You will also need the wallet for the selected coins. Not everything can be mined to the stock exchanges wallets

The thread is just to long actually.I have been interested to learn mining even before XMR landed on mars but I haven't got the real information as to which GPU to buy and how to actually set up from the ground up with all the screenshots. Maybe if someone did this, I'd probably sent btcs to him just to tip the tutorial he did. Unfortunately none was ever found even here in the forum.

I went for a place called www.minergate.com for my first try.
The coin I decided to try out was Monero.
Just register, download the app, login and start mining Smiley

Well thats what I did anyway. There are many other ways out there.

They said it all but before that I just want to tell you that •Money is need too
•A place where you should put your miners and etc
Be sure its safe and not hot.

I want to share that some guy created a machine which helps the miner to cool off for better use along the way. I forgit its name but please do share for those who know what Iam talking about.
