The whole Budget should be divided with some part. Otherwise if one altcoin scam, then have to lose whole budget..so holding bnd Isn't good Choice. Hold btc eth ada matic and other popular coins with that divided money. Those are considered as safest investment all time . Sometimes popular coin also scam like luna, ftp but risk are less. But Newbie shouldn’t invest brand new altcoin.
that's why it's essential to have some diversification, heck even the biggest investment company are all doing some diversification so there's no reason why a newbie didn't follow such advice and diversify their investment to avoid imminent losses like some special case for example luna, had everyone diversified their investment properly they wouldn't go bankrupt.

Still it's not a guarantee because we don't know what the future holds but at least we can say that we're on the safe side especially if we're looking to hold it for a long term.
You are right, any coin is risky but we analyzed the low risk opportunity of all altcoins, only BTC, ETH and BNB worth adding to portfolio list, but all altcoins other than that are very risky for long term investment, even the worst top altcoin moments from Luna and FTX which has hurt many investors because they want high returns from the new altcoin. One mistake that I did in the past is to convert my Bitcoin into some altcoins that I think were good to invest in. And this is still applicable to these days that one shouldn't do it without thinking first.But I think if it's with BNB and looking for some other investments, it's manageable as long as you know what you're doing. This is the kind of diversification that everybody does.

You already have your answer. BNB is already a coin with utility which is the exchanges and the smart contract around it. You could have just trade those or just simply hold it and accumulating it if you have money to afford. The other answer would be Ethereum but BNB is simply enough to fulfill your investment needs. Just make sure to read the rules so you can keep yourself updated with the news involved around Binance.
I would very highly recommend for any newbie out there to invest only in Bitcoin. It’s advised to always start with reasonable amount and get the feel of the market. Doing your research and studying the patterns are very important. The Problem with many ALT coins is that they are very unpredictable and I’d always tell people you have more chances making money by gambling than invest in some of these ALT coins. Don’t get my wrong ALT coins like ETH,XMR,LTC etc.. are very some of really good coins and are worth investing in but yet I’d suggest always start with Bitcoin. Goodluck and wish you the very best
