Coinbase have to link your bank account to go... and they charge 1$ + 1% ... is it expensive
LocalBitcoins is a peer-to-peer Bitcoin exchange. This is a  good place to buy and Sell coins. You may find some very good offer waiting just for you. Have a look.

Coinbase is a good way to buy.  They do ask for a lot of ID info, but it seem like it is trustworthy from all the things I have read.  I haven't had any problems with them.

i'm using local wallet to, but it's too dangerous due to the controll over the private key, yeah we dont have ultimate controll over our private key, but it's really easy if we convert our bitcoin in to fiat, but for stored my bitcoin i'll go with blockchain, it's really safest than stored them on coinbase or any other exchanger

True, just don't put all your golds in one bank.  Wink

Well, I only have a few satoshis for now. Trust me, my wallet will make history when he got 1BTC.  Cheesy

As quoted blockchain wallet is better in all ways of use. Even it has got feature of advancement in securing. Most users don't use all those just to avoid several step by step process. And as said its better have few wallets to store your bitcoin for our security.

A local wallet will be a great advantage, like what we use here in the Philippines - coins.ph.

any service will charge you something for the job they are doing for you. i am not sure about the amount but $1+1% is a good deal since they are a reputable organization that you can easily trust.

For me,

A local wallet will be a great advantage, like what we use here in the Philippines - coins.ph. Why? Due to bitcoins can be easily withdrawn or deposited with the nearest convenient stores. But if you are purely online, coinbase and blockchain is what I will suggest.

I have used coinbase and they do want id but it seems legitimate from my experience.  You also don't have to keep the coins there, you can transfer after you buy.

Its better to do trade based on the country you reside. If you are from European nation its better to use kraiken, else try using local bitcoins which seems secure and easy to do trade.

Check kraken, localbitcoins or coinbase these three are very much well known and trusted among the Europeans. It will help you to buy and sell bitcoin easily.
The OP wants a website where he has not to verify his ID and only localbitcoins is right for him where he can have cash deals without verifying the identity. Else there are many trusted websites which need an identity proof while exchanging coins.
You shouldn't get scared of verifying your identity with reputed options like kraken as they are very trusted. Even circle.com is highly trusted and the websites that verify users should be trusted more than those that don't use any verification as you can meet more scammers on those websites. It's better to be safe and go through the verification.

If you don't want to verify your ID to buy bitcoins, you can try opening a thread in the Currency Exchange section and only trade with trusted users else use an escrow while trading with newbies/untrusted users.
Yes, without revealing your ID you can buy bitcoins either in a physical person to person meet up or through PM in Currency exchange section with an Escrow. There are other forums as well where you can buy bitcoins like TBN.

If your located in the USA coinbase is the best way IMO.
Outside the USA I couldn't tell you. I would localbitcoins also, might pay a little more but you don't have to give bank account info and an ID if that stuff throws you off.
even if hes outside U.S i still suggest coinbase. im currently in canada and i always use coinbase to buy/sell my coins, its just so simple and easy
Now Coinbase is supporting 32 countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Coinbase is based in San Francisco, California, so yes it is American company.
To be honest, even Pentagon was hacked few times, so yes they can be hacked.

If you want to know more, just read attached articles or google about Coinbase - everywhere you will have this same informations - atm it is the most secure wallet and exchange online.

coinbase is asking for a lot of info.  are they legit?

Coinbase have the best security from all wallets and exchanges on market!
Here you have little overview:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/overview-wallet-and-exchange-security-review-updated-feb-22-2016-1364126

Here you have more info about how big is this project:
[Suspicious link removed]j.com/articles/coinbase-raises-75-million-in-funding-round-1421762403
[Suspicious link removed]j.com/articles/first-u-s-bitcoin-exchange-set-to-open-1422221641

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/22/business/dealbook/the-benefits-of-allowing-bitcoin-to-flourish.html?_r=1

Are they an American company?  Is there any chance they will get hacked like cryptsy or mtgox?
