I don't separate members here as newbie and others but simple as good and bad members.
We have some very good members with higher ranks and they help others and contribute to the forum.
We also have scammers but soon or later we discover them and ban from the forum.
Newbie here can be very experienced in crypto world,  more than some high ranks members in this forum.
It's true that most of newbie members don't have much experience with crypto and still learning but I don't think they are problem in the forum
Most of them are honest and want to understand more about crypto and to be part of btctalk community.
They will search for answers and will not spam here.
I don't think that we can put all newbie in the same basket,  they are all different individuals.
Newbie who try to spam here we have to stop and OP doing great job with finding and reporting scams and scammers.
He have right to report any scam and others have freedom to agree or disagree with his decision.
Let's move on and finish this discussion.

I am joining the syndicate to fight for newbies right.
Newbies must be more important than bears and koalas.

In case this syndicate evolves in a real gang, please let me know, to update the gangs topic Smiley

Being serious now, I started a topic for helping low ranks but, apparently, without success.

I think Newbie members are endangered species and I would like them to have special rights in this forum, something like panda and polar bears have in real world.
Lets make newbie syndicate to protect newbie rights, so that we can have a lot more safer newbies.

Remember that everyone was once a newbie.
Love your fellow newbie  Kiss

I respect newbies some newbies are posting great stuffs but newbies is a journey if they can prove that they can contribute a lot of great topics here and discussion they can easily get out of newbie rank and even make it to higher rank in just a short period of time.

The Problem is that you cant say at first is a Newbie a good User or a bad User.
Or just a new Account of some alt Account.
I would just let as it is right now, thats why are the beginners Board is here.
And i guess the most of the users that are longer here and have a normal good behave will always help Newbies.
Another Problem is that a lot of New users just to lazy to doing there homework and use the search function.

OP was obviously just being sarcastic

You exposed me.
I can be sarcastic, sick and terrible, and all other topics are necessary except this one.  Wink
If you studied my post history you could also see that before I questioned easy red trusting also about myself.
You could also see that I asked for some solution for private feedback.

I also like to hear what other members have to say about newbies and their rights.
Thank you.

Thanks for thinking about newbies. I personally would love to have some unique incentives. There is lot of information here and I'm learning so much reading Sr. Member's posts.

Hope there are newbies like that, i think newbies that you are talking about are the ones who are willing to learn, asking questions engaging in the topics, and constructing wonderful topics and answers. but check the posts of newbies now full of bounty reports and some are staying in the off topic and not learning about anything, i don't generalize and stereotype the newbies here, but the majority of them are like that. and now it needs 1 merit to become a jr. member and if you are the one that are only posting bounty reports, you can't reach near that. and the right to
create topics, post replies and read the topics is enough for them.

I strongly disagree... Newbie accounts are very easy to create and you can have 100's of newbie sockpuppet accounts, if you know how to do it. So it cannot be compared to something that are scarce, like a Panda or a Rhino. Newbie accounts are also a huge problem for spamming and abuse, so it should have the least rights possible on the forum.

The aim to give newbies a special level of acknowledgement is just nonsense.. Let's rather give the legendary members more rights, now that it is much more difficult to reach that level with the merit system being added.  Cool

OP was obviously just being sarcastic in what he wrote about newbie rights on forum. When I took a closer look at his post history, I discovered that he red tag one newbie for promoting some VPN, and it seems that the majority agreed that this was inappropriate. After that he change negative in neutral, but I see some other users have complaints on how dkbit98 is tagging users.

Unfortunately I find this topic totally unnecessary and useless the way it was set up, it actually took us all to the wrong direction...

Are newbies persecuted on this forum?

The correct word is the extinction of obtaining high ranks, money, without making any effort.
Most of them come here because of the desire to get money through the internet as they know from social media or other people recommendations. The Bitcointalk Forum has facilities for them to earn money with a little or more effort through a bounty program or various other businesses.

I am not so sure that newbie are treated not well by other forum members here so they are feared that will become extinct. Even if their existence is only for money but if they want to change it and try to do better to improve their quality and knowledge then Iam sure other members will help too.

As you said, if they just want to continue to be there without contributing to the forum then they will forever be at the newbie level and if there is no legitimate bounty program then they will become extinct themselves. There is no prohibition for anyone to get money here but without the efforts and balanced contribution to the forum, I am sure that no member will care about them until they become extinct.

Well, I also agree with the OP. Since some of the members of the old or high rank here are always having thoughts on the newbies; NEGATIVE. Like they are just some dummy of other people or just to scam some people here or just to spam.
Both you and op, where did you see members of the old high ranks having this kind of thoughts !?
Within a forum based on psydo-anonimity, you need to build trust before inviting others to believe you. A newbie account has a neutrel reputation by default and would have to spend time building his own trust network and by time goes by, he will reach more ranks. This is normal for anybody (including newbies themselves) to have doubts in anything provided by someone who has no history nor a reputation.
Why do you think newbies are excluded or marginalised ?
Should we really have a serious debate about this ?
I don't see a valid reason indeed.

And also, it's quite difficult to identify newbies nowadays.
Some could be a dummy account or new account from old banned members in this forum. It's just easy to create an account and pretend to be a newbie.

What do you mean by "Endangered Species," there are thousands of accounts that join this forum every month and thus more newbies. If there is no newbie member, the forum will end over time due to the absence of new members.
The only thing they need is to help them to get the correct answers to their inquiries, give them Merits (when HQ posts/topics,) and encourage them to learn more.

The correct word is the extinction of obtaining high ranks, money, without making any effort.

I think one of the problems is people don't know how to use a forum (at least not to the stardard most wish to impose here). Most of them are used with the monosyllabic form of communication you find on telegram for example. These other platform melded most and writing a full sentence became as hard as a college degree exam.
What you mean by "spam" is their every day vocabulary.
And would argue that can be pretty hard to reshape...

I am restricting myself for giving red trust to any newbies for 7 days
I don't know if you are in DT list whether your feedbacks displayed in red, but any DT member should not make such an extreme restriction like yours as there are newbies selling accounts and posting scam offers [not to consider farming for bounties] who deserve an immediate red tag from any honest dt user convainved by evidences and proofs.
I doubt if this is a good decision.
Maybe am still missing what did you mean by "newbies rights" .

and I am joining the syndicate to fight for newbies right.
Newbies must be more important than bears and koalas.
Yes, animals can't lie, but nobody is perfect.
You said in op that newbies are in need for rescue like polar bears and koalas, and now you admit that they are more important.
No, i don't think newbies forum accounts are more important than biological life, as i don't also see how/if they are threatened or excluded at the point to join a syndicate for them.

Newbies or legendaries, everyone has the same rules in this forum. Maybe DT members come into conclusion too early that they are fake newbies or shilling for something,no one should be given negative tag for anything unless they have intention to scam someone in this forum.

Newbies seeking knowledge about crypto and blockchain are probably rare here. I haven't seen them being abused or harassed in the forum so far. On the contrary, they are actually recognized and easily given merits to rank up. In any case, I support the idea of having a 'syndicate' to protect those types of newbies.

Newbies rights
The same rights for every forum user, except some few restrictions in using some forum features. Reaching the next rank level would be an easy step if the newbie is a good forum user. For newbies posting ANNs and Offers, they can purchase Coppe membrship.
Any user has the right to share his opinions. This is a commun right.

I think everyone has the same rights in the forum, so I don't see how establishing a syndicate would help beginners feel safer in the forum? I think it's a bit overkill to talk about newbies as an endangered species and compare them with polar bears or pandas, because those animal species are near extinction, which is certainly not comparable to those who are beginners on the forum.

The way this idea is presented suggests that someone or something has hostile intentions towards new forum members, which I would disagree with. I think that every man himself is the greatest enemy, what can be observed in the case of beginners in this forum. Some come with honest intentions, but without any knowledge or feeling to distinguish the good from the bad, which makes them perfect victims. On the other hand, some have only mischievous intentions and do not need any help except perma-ban.

All this does not mean that older members do not need to help new members, quite the contrary. I personally will always help if I can, whether in public support or in private message.
