all investing opportunities are scams

keep bitcoin

if you want to earn, find online jobs and use them to earn bitcoin

if you really want to invest, start your own online business, or try lending your coins on poloniex/bitfinex for interest

Naw, "all" really implies a lot. To my observation if there is a fixed, even "failesssafe guaranteeed we sssswear" interest rate then something sneaky keeps going on.
Mostly ponzi who have to exitscamm at some point in future. Regardless if it is investing into whatever it is to invest for, over there. Mining operation, special trade methods, regardless.

I'm keeping my BTC and currently beeing on the lookout for small programing tasks.

The best thing you can do is go invest your bitcoin in a legit site

Could you please give me a few examples of such legit sites? My friend has given me a list of Bitcoin investment sites, but I don't know which of them can be trusted and which ones are scam.

i am sure that you can growing small amount of BTC from free source but you need to hard work to do because i think in this forum, there are many people that can earn free satoshi from time to time including me. the first think that you can do is don't play in any of investment that will not help you to earn some amount of btc, but i am sure that there is still one or more investment you invest but its difficult to find it.

if you want to mining, especially for cloud mining, you can select good and trusted site before you invest with them, but still its better if you mining with your own hardware rather than to mining in cloud mining but you need to buy some hardware.

You need to add a substantial size budget into your bitcoin address and buy it using fiat. Then when there is a decent amount you can focus on growing it. If you want to blog you might want to try steemit it's a great platform for bloggers and rewards quality content. You can spend $5-$10 buying steem to increase your influence.

making blog is a good option for OP to growing the btc, because when you have blog, you can make a post about crypto currency news or you can join with campaign in here to spread about the coins and you can get rewards for the coins or some satoshi. and i am sure that you can do much more to growing small amount of btc and finally you can have more bitcoin in your wallet.

Growing a small amount of money is always harder than a bigger amount, it may seems counterintuitive, but the most money you have the more opportunities you can take advantage.

I understand that you have the newbie rank on this forum, and there is high possibility that you are new in our small bitcoin society, but you should have already know that we dont give hints like that.
Moreover, we try to stop and avoid people that are giving such an advices, because they are literally helping the scammers to obtain their goals - earn the profits on the newbies.

Your post over here is worth nothing because you didn't even said something that may lead him somewhere, investing bitcoins is something not easy because of the big numbers of ponzis and scams surrounding the whole network.
Legit site? You know at least one, where you get the interest e.g daily, and they are transparent in doing their business, not hiding any data like team that works on the project, or people involved.

It's true that it's hard to find good sites where we can invest our money, but they exist. None of them are 100% safe, but few are legit and we can earn some nice returns by doing nothing. As you ask for a transparent site paying daily interest I can quote FreeBitco.in, they are alive and working since 2013 and now they pay a little daily interest for who has more than 30.000 satoshis in balance.

I can quote the casino bankroll investment option also, that is being great for investors, since you invest in a legit casino site.

Legit investment does exist, but the profit so little and not always you can gain profit, investing in a reputable casino is the best investment, but even I invest in the casino I also have trouble to gain profit, it is so hard to find legit investment with decent profit, there are so many scammed site nowadays, my suggestion is to do trading instead, at least in trading you can control your own money

I doubt about Freebitco.in investment actually, they are starting from faucet gambling site and now offering an investment opportunity, I understand that the site got a good reputation, but I still not really trust it

You can make a .002BTC fast from faucet on https://bitsler.com using good strategy. As you get 300 satoshi, play it two times on high risk, then use Martingale (your bet should be very low) and once you get at least 10000, stop it and stick to 1% flat betting. I made .002BTC this method in 2 weeks.
If you need referral, PM me and I will give you referral.
That seems good and it's good to start with faucets. The way you suggested looks a bit complicated, let him earn good through the different faucets available and later on if he feels comfortable let him involve into gambling and strategy making. At the beginning itselfif he move towards gambling in short he won't focus on any other form of earning.

Im glad we have you over here @songdove.
Your typing style is very nice, not as most of the newbies here you know something about bitcoin and it's mechanisms.

I wanted to ask you, if you are not able to convert only 15$ ( if you cant, then less ) to bitcoin?
It would be really nice if you can afford it, because I would say that this is still really small sum to start with.

15$ is currently around 0,01254 bitcoin.
Firstly, I suggest you staying out of any type of investment sites, most of them are ponzi scheme's or just regular scams where you dont get anything for sending them your money.
If you want to earn money only on storing them somewhere, then investing in reputable cryptocurrency casinos might be a good idea, I think that cryptogames.com are fine enough.

Also, stay away from gambling, the chance to win something bigger isn't high enough to take the risk.
The best solution for you is browse through "service" section to see what kind of skills do people offer.
That would be the best way to make bitcoins, or also through signature campaining- but you need higher rank than newbie for that, jr.members are getting payed really low, but it is something at least.

Just please, dont touch faucets anymore, you can use your time in better way.

Thanks for your kind words.

I wish I could invest my own money into trying this out, but I am a struggling computer repair tech working as a self contractor and living in a household of "gibbles" as we jokingly call ourselves, so income is not where it should be to pay bills and put food on the table, let alone put into a savings account.  I have creditors calling me wondering where their money is.  So hence the need to earn BTC from the ground up if I am going to try this out.

As for using my time a better way, I have set myself up with bitpay and will be looking into ways to add the option to pay for my services from my website via BTC.  I am also considering add it as an option to my author site's bookstore as a way to purchase my books.  I am quite busy offline at the moment, so I haven't really had time to go looking for this services section of the forum everyone is talking about, but I'm sure I'll locate it eventually.

Hey everyone,

I've been loosely following bitcoin over the past year or so and finally decided to see if I could earn any of my own back in February.  I've read a few recent threads here, and I have to say, contrary to popular opinion, I managed to earn 0.0025+ satoshi only using faucets.  I lost 0.0005+ satoshi due to changing network fees and fumbling around to find a wallet that would accept small deposits (xapo!).  I then lost another 0.001 satoshi getting caught in the bitcity.biz scam.

Needless to say, once bitten, twice shy.  Rumours around the 'net say you have to have a thick skin to engage on this board, not sure if that's true in this particular newbie forum or not, but just saying the rumours I've heard.  I actually thought maybe those rumours could be of some assistance to me.  When scammers are not tolerated, its easier for helpful info to rise to the surface.

I am experimenting to see if it's possible to earn a decent amount of satoshi on my own without affiliates as I am a terrible marketer and most of my friends don't appreciate affiliate systems in general.  So if I can do this on my own, I will be blogging about it and hopefully helping others do the same.

Based on what I was seeing over the past two months, various investment platforms will begin as low as 0.001 investment.  The two that seem to be above board according to some sources are Coin factory and AdmiralBTC.  Would anyone agree, disagree or suggest something more reputable?  At the moment I have the bulk of earned satoshi over at freebitco.in since they began doing the 4.08% annual interest.  Got my first 11 satoshi in interest this morning.

Step one was to prove to myself that one could indeed earn enough satoshi to begin building it.

Step two is to choose the safest, most secure method to do the growing while continuing to earn more satoshi.  I would love as many honest responses as I can get on this one.  I'm not much of a risk taker and I agree with the slogan: invest only what you are prepared to lose.  As I said, I've already lost 0.001 satoshi trying to figure this out.  That's a lot of faucet hours! (first .001 took just over a month, second .001 took exactly two weeks, a few hours here and there each day as I could spare)

Step three is to grow the satoshi via investment and earnings to a level where I can use Xapo's debit card to do things like pay for groceries or buy gas.  Although that brings me to another question:

Xapo and another wallet both deal only in btc, USD, or in the other wallet's case, also Euro.  Neither deal in CAD, although Xapo does have a CAD wallet that auto-created for me when I created my account.  I live in Canada.  So exchange rates would have to happen at the point of sale rather than at the wallet.  Is there a wallet out there that offers a debit card going from BTC to CAD?

I look forward to hearing some helpful advice.  You never know, I might just cite you in my blogging about this adventure.

Wow! You must be that persistent to be able to earn that amount through faucets. I have also tried earning using faucets but got disappointed in the end because the sites I have used was not paying. I suggest joining signature campaigns if you really want to earn bitcoin.  Smiley

That's the somewhat confusing/bothersome issue.  I have a tab open listing off all the scam sites and the list is huge!  Most of what I see advertised around the 'net is on this list.  Then I go to other "watch list" sites that rank them based on if they're paying or not, and while the official ranking might be good, the comments and posted reviews often see the ranking go from good to bad in a matter of months.  "Legit" to me means staying in the good rankings all the time, not just for a period of several months or so.  The two sites I mention in my original post are currently in the "good ranking" status supposedly, but I wanted feedback on them or better suggestions if they aren't seen as legit.

It's unfortunate then. You still can read that part of the forum to create an idea how much bitcoin can a PC with at least 3 mid-high end class GPU-s give you. The only remaining way for you is to start working for bitcoin if you have any skill and to offer them in the Services section of the forum or to sell some digital goods in the digital goods section (always use escrow in that section no matter how trusted the other party is). I wish you good luck and welcome to the bitcoin world Smiley

I read that you have some bulk of sats stored as a investment on freebitco.in  it is indeed a good idea till your amount staked is low once it is higher than 1 btc , move it from there as i don't recommend you to have any btc on any online wallets.

I always help new people who are willing to adopt crypto ecosystem, if you want some free bits like 0.001BTC, send me your address, But again spend it wisely Smiley

Thanks for your offer, it made me realize I hadn't added that info to my forum profile.  It's added now.  "Spend it wisely" is the reason I came here.  I figured there are people here who know more about growing BTC wisely.  I am a quick learner, and it appears I picked up on some stuff on my own as it turns out.  But being wise is important enough to seek out others' wisdom on the matter.

As for an online wallet, I want to test out the debit card method of using BTC offline (step three in my original post) and I need an online wallet to do that.  Maybe when funds permit, I can afford a secure offline wallet in the future.

I strongly insist you check out the mining with your PC section I told you in the post above. I am mining LBRY with CCminer and check the pictures below how much they can make you within 24 hours for a month with a graphic card GTX 1060.

https://i.imgur.com/99zQOAR.png

https://i.imgur.com/6Z4cC9p.png

You see you can make 1.80 USD a day or 0.001547 btc per day. You can leave your PC open while you are at work.

As I said check the section Altcoin Mining of this forum here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

Being a newbie on the forum, I am limited to how fast I can reply.  I was going to say to your previous post that my PC is 10 yrs old, so I won't be using it to mine.  I would want a separate box for that anyway with it's own paid internet connection so that I don't get hackers on my home network.  That's another "when funds permit" item.
