I'm guessing emoticon and "me too" posts don't count as being meaningful.
Think I may have to join the group and lose my post count virginity here too.
I've been on the board 4 hours and 14 minutes and have 6 posts, and I still can't post anywhere but the newbies section. This has to be the most restrictive forum I've ever been on and I'm about to give up and go elsewhere if I don't get the restrictions lifted soon. I understand the need to keep spammers out, but this is ridiculous!

I too registered to participate to a forum and need now to wait to be un-newbied :-)
How many posts does a newbie need to begin posting in the main forums? Is it still the 1 post requirement after the four hour period or do we have to reach a certain limit?

I've been waiting to be upgraded as well, I've missed out on quite a few giveaways and discussions.
I think it makes sense and result in a quality website where people encourage to participate before getting all access
