God is great
The greatest mistakes most newbies make is to pursue quick wealth which they believe they will get from low cap tokens since they assume that Bitcoin have become too expensive. Due to this approach, a lot of newcomers waste fortune to shitcoins and scams, chasing the next big pumps and before they realize that Bitcoin is the real deal and the asset that will guarantee that their money is not lost.
I think they think bitcoin is too expensive and altcoins is more affordable to buy and invest not knowing they are making a mist to buy what they consider to be a coin with good value. One of the reasons why some people prefer to invest in altcoins is because they feel they can make profit so quick from it not knowing that they are investing in a coin that is not reliable and anything can go wrong in the market that will make it to lose value. Bitcoin is the real investment that must be considered because it has a very good potential.  Beginners are too desperate to make money and they hardly think of doing research to get better understanding about bitcoin and altcoins.

I don't know if it's just me but I don't fancy the idea of preaching bitcoin investments to newbies because a majority of times they end up becoming a victim to either one hack or phishing attempt or some fake Ponzi scheme printed shiny with the name of bitcoin mining and stuff. What I suggest newbies to be compelled to is actually more about understanding decentralisation, security of their funds as well ad privacy.

Bitcoin has long surpassed the status of advertising it like some meme coins do just to gather investors. The truth is there is a very high chance that anything that looks more like advertising bitcoin is definitely a scam. Newbies should be concerned about understanding the ecosystem instead of rushing to invest.

Preaching bitcoin sometimes looks like you are actually advising people to invest into bitcoin which is a very huge responsibility even I do not think I like, the other one is that you create a narrative for yourself that you have bitcoins. Although preaching or rather advocacy of bitcoin wouldn’t be bad if the newbie was the one who ask for the guide and illustrations like what you suggested is needed to guide them against falling into scams

If the advocation though is for bitcoin to actually grow more I think it doesn’t need that kind of advocation because it’s already beyond, the only thing it needs is less restriction from government and many people will come Into it because it is this restriction that is stopping them from actually getting involved with it

Bitcoin is not something that someone will just panic when it investment on it, and you should have target before they invest in bitcoin, what I'm trying to say is that invest on Bitcoin when the price of bitcoin is low, make sure that you purchase bitcoin at your convenient time and on the process make sure that you have already understand the procedures of investment of Bitcoin before you invest.

You should give investment advices to newcomers and beginners, this board is not intended for that. People are free to invest where they want and it should remain their own responsability. Bitcoin is a volatile and risky asset. So saying they should invest in Bitcoin instead of other cryptocurrencies is a non-sense, the risk is almost the same.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.

I am therefore encouraging newbies to start investing in Bitcoin and never yield to the hypes going on that there is a shortcut to wealth via newly lunched projects that will pump hard following some supposed expert marketing. While getting proper knowledge, you can start investing and set 5 to 10 years target and see how happy you will be with Bitcoin.
When newbies invest in shitcoins and other projects that eventually turn out to be scam, I do not feel much pity for most of them because their actions were as a result of their refusal to do a proper research before investing. Ofcourse, such actions are often influenced by greed so, they can always learn from their mistakes until they are forced to conduct a proper research and finally locate bitcoin.

Newbies are usually in a haste to make quick money. My advice to them is that they should always pause, think twice before making any decision that involves money

Newbies are easily misled because they don’t seek for more knowledge and do just as they hear or advice to do. Platforms like this where extensive discussions about cryptocurrency are held are a very good tool for beginners to learn from and not fall into the hands of wrong informations which need to be filtered out at all time. The approach of many people into cryptocurrency has made them fall into the wrong hands and is becoming more and more difficult for some people to fully adopt it. With the right information, you’ll know that bitcoin is the best coin to invest in and not fall in the hands of hype coins that easily become worthless.

Some people do get rich through that means, after their first trials, they are lucky to win big and I suggest when that luck finds people like that, they should invest a more bunch of it into bitcoin for safer investment. And then they can spare and invest some amounts they can risk on other coins after proper research. Bitcoin is the deal and since not all people can be convinced to all go for bitcoin, when they’re going for other coins, they should minimize their risk and go for what they can afford to lose.

Seriously don’t know why they focus on quick profit, actually no one is stopping the ambition to make profit seeing everyone target is to make profit. My observation concerning quick returns it’s either the person choose a wrong step unknowingly or they believe this idea is the best, now experiencing bitcoin bull is the major topic yet some folks chase after altcoins this season. Only few altcoins will yield profit and if they’re not careful now when the market is high they might invest in some pump and dump project due to the hype, bitcoin investment remains the best also considering others point of view I can’t stop anyone from choosing altcoins.

The reason why you see most newbies focusing so much on making profit instead of understanding what they want to invest in is because of their wrong understanding of what bitcoin is all about, hardly will you see newbies having good discussion on the best projects to invest in and how to gain knowledge on the project they want to invest in all they just want to hear is the project with the fastest return not minding the rest that is involved in the investment. Bitcoin Bull run has been the topic of discussion but newbies will rather choose to invest in shitcoin and altcoin because they want to accumulate huge profits which they may end up not having their capital back. Bitcoin has proven to be the most reliable and trusted cryptocurrency anyone who is looking for a lifetime investment should rather choose Bitcoin investment instead of risking pump and dump shit coins that will end up vanishing overnight.

Not your keys, not your coins!
Being a newbie, i will also advise that the first first investment that should be in consideration is bitcoin, because when you start with bitcoin, you already have a reduced tendencies for losing your money completely, unlike other altcoins that are more highly volatile and one can easily lose money, we may not also consider what other influencers are promoting being a newbie until we have a sound knowledge about crypto.
Bitcoin is the best choice, not only for newbies but also for all investors in cryptocurrency market. If their priority is their capital safety, Bitcoin is surely their best choice.

With any investor, there are two biggest concerns.

The first concern, the biggest one is: Safety of their capital. They must protect their initial investment capital and must avoid losing it as much as possible.

The second concern is Probability of Profit Gain in long term. With this concern, Bitcoin is the best too, because it has never died, and it has never failed to rally from past bear markets and it has been successfully to make new ATH in a new market cycle. With altcoins, it's hard to expect the same.

It is indeed a mistake to completely rely on shitcoins, but the risk worth it sometimes if you are lucky with some shitcoin of low market cap that will give you above 50x but the risk is very high which is why they always fall for scam because the newbies to crypto this days are always looking for easy way to make money that’s why they are always looking for shortcuts and when they fall victim of any scam, they blame crypto as scam; not knowing that altcoins are not reliable because they also have their personal interest as developers and once their target is met, they do dump or scam people.

Bitcoin investment is the best form of investment for all, it’s the safest among all cryptocurrency investments, it is the only crypto investment you will do with rest of mind if you invest in the right place and not in an exchange.
DCA method will be good for people that think that Bitcoin is expensive.

Newbies chasing shitcoin in expectations or pursuit of quick wealth are Just being ignorant.  Because they thought bitcoin is too expensive and looking for a shortcut to wealth not knowing its the quickest way to poverty.  Due to the high demand  to make quick wealth has made many youths lose there  money in some shitcoin and blame it on bitcoin, that bitcoin or cryptocurrency is a scam,  not knowing they failed to do proper research. I would say newbies should invest in bitcoin than wasting those money on gambling coin because Its a pump and dump coin and no real long term value.  I have many of them lying dead in my wallet due to my lack Of understanding about bitcoin back then.
If i haven't learnt enough then i should have understood so much about this shitcoins, it is now easy for me to identify any, truly ignorance can be a real cause to a victim. I would not call taking part of this shitcoin a bad choice but it should not be seen as an investment for a life time, any experienced investor understands that there is more to risk than to gain, many call it an investment gambling because the odds to make that huge profits as hyped by the team is less than coming true. It is important to make right choices, Bitcoin has it's potentials and it is difficult to get any project that can give exact value, it is better to get simpler return of investment than losing everything all in the course of chasing big profits from this shitcoins.

Altcoins is for short term and if you take them seriously there's a huge chance for you to get caught by some rug pull schemes happening in the scene. But if you focus yourself on bitcoin then for sure that you will never face that scamming situation since many time it proves that this coin remain reliable for many years of its existence. But if you can't avoid to invest with alts better don't take it for long term since you know the consequences that will happen and drop it when you are in profit.

To many hype around that's why aside for being an aggressive investor we also need to know different methods that can help us to increase our chance to earn and also know some points on when we can pull out so that there's no regret for missing good opportunities around that will come up on our side.

Newbies only see what other people get from crypto and thinks that they can get the same. When other people make a big profit, newbies will thinks that they can be rich like other people. They don't realize that investing in Bitcoin needs time so they must be patience waiting for the time to sell their Bitcoin investment.

Once they watch some people make a big profit from crypto especially from the new project, they are tempting to follow those people without thinks that they must research before follows.

Newbies must know how to research to find the right project that can gives them profit in the future. They don't have follow other people to invest in new project especially if they can not research. It is better they stick to Bitcoin investment and use DCA methods for their investment.

But if they want to invest in new project, they must use the money they can afford to lose. That is the prevention they can do from the big lost that may happen anytime.

If only Newbies would realize the underlying risks associated with putting their money into buying and trading or holding shitcoins, then they’ll really run as far away as they can from it. A lot of these projects promises high ROI in order to attract investors, and then surround the project with hype, causing investors to feel that the project is the next big thing in the space while in reality, it’s just one of those pump and dump shitty projects that the devs are just cooking the coin and waiting for the right time to dump and run away with the profits.

Bitcoin on the other hand may indeed be too expensive to buy, it’s not even necessary that you need to buy a whole Bitcoin, you could just buy in sats and hodl for the long term, and you’ll still make even bigger profits in the long term, which of course is a lot more safer and profitable than gambling on shitcoins that carries high risks of crash at anytime.
because beginners see people who make a profit in a short time with shitcoin or meme coin, making them more interested in those coins than Bitcoin.
not all beginners will have good knowledge references to choose Bitcoin over other coins. even more beginners are interested in the crypto market knowing from social media that talks about the success of investing in certain tokens.
I agree if beginners focus on investing in Bitcoin, then not many beginners will complain about being deceived by shitcoin investments. local centralized exchanges sometimes also share how the price spike of altcoins might attract beginners to choose altcoins over Bitcoin with little knowledge.

It is better for beginners to invest only in bitcoins and ignore other coins. Because newbies are never experts about crypto so they would have faced a lot of losses while investing in other coins.  And the reason why beginners are more interested in investing in Bitcoin is because of the attractive price of Bitcoin. And nowadays because of Donald Trump and Elon Musk's positive talk about Bitcoin, people are starting to trust Bitcoin and that's why every newbies is interested in investing only in Bitcoin.

Although it's true that Bitcoin is the best option available in the market if someone is looking for long-term investment options, I believe different people will have different investment and financial goals, and to achieve those targets, they will have to choose assets accordingly.

If you are someone who has $1,000 and wants to get about $200 to $300 within a month, you might not be able to get that from Bitcoin because you can't always expect quick returns from Bitcoin. In such situations, you will have to find opportunities that can help you achieve your target, and that is mostly possible through altcoins.

That being said, trading altcoins contains a lot of risks, and it's not as easy as some might think. Before you start buying altcoins, make sure you do enough research so that you can buy altcoins that have the potential to give you the returns you are looking for instead of making you lose money.

I believe if people stick around with crypto for a while they'll realize that, but the allure of making 10x gains from participating in an airdrop, buying small marketcap tokens, etc is hard to resist since most of us don't have experience with investments before. At least that's what I see from my local community. These young people want to make money in 3-5 years but their capital is too small to make a difference if they buy conservative assets, or are led by someone who has other intentions other than helping them learn the market and its risks.
Making money from airdrops is good, but airdops have many types and if you have to use your money to do tasks in airdops, risk starts to rise. I only would like to join airdrop that is free like with Testnet tasks, but airdrop distributions for Testnet are usually not too big. Tasks on Main net require Airdrop Hunters to invest money to buy the native currency of a blockchain, it's risky.

Not all airdrops are profitable just like bounties in the past and after hottest airdrop months in 2023, now airdrops start to become less profitable.

In this volatile cryptocurrency market, if they are not disciplined enough, they have big risk to fail and lose capital.
