Go to #bitcoin-otc on the freenode irc server.

Or check btc-e.com to do some trading.

I am just getting started.  I spent a ton of time trying to get free bitcoins, got my balance up to .0022 btc.  Then I asked for some help on this forum, and now my balance is at .0322 btc, which is really awesome.

I really want just a bit to play with and to test out some programming, so .03 is enough to do that.

I still can't figure out how to buy bitcoins, I only have paypal, so it's pretty much impossible that way (and I understand the reasons behind it, it just sucks for me).

I was just introduced to this currency by my good friend Tyrone from about a week ago, he gave me the birthday present and said something about good acid but I am not interested in drugs so I do not think I will be spending the bitcoin that way but I am still interested in other opportunites of bitcoin currency!

Bitcoin is probably the coolest thing I've stumbled upon in a long time, I just wish I had found it earlier.

It says in the article "All nodes perform and enforce the same difficulty calculation.". can a node cheat by refusing to increase the difficulty level at it side?
