Long time lurker here. What's the average hashrate of most people here? I'm currently at 1.8 GH via 2 5970's and 2 5850's. I know that pretty shitty but i'm having a lot of trouble with temps(and i run doze).

I just finished a Windows desktop BitCoin data collection program called BitCoinData.  It creates historical .csv files with OHLCVol data for any time per bar.  Also updates the files every 50 seconds.  If I weren't a newbie I would post it in the threads asking about it.

This bitcoin stuff is really damn confusing. I was hoping PayPal would be accepted by bitcoin traders. What is the most commonly used site/tool to exchange currency for bitcoins? Dwolla?
There is a list of bitcoin exchanges on http://bitcoinwatch.com/. Some are international and others are not. The choice depends on where one lives. I use https://www.cavirtex.com/ here in Canada. As for PayPal not a good choice. The chargeback risk to the seller is too high and in any case bitcoin will likely not be in compliance with their TOS.

I have a little less than 1.5 hours to go before I can get out of noob status.

I'd like to post a review of get-bitcoins.com (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/get-bitcoincom-reviews-thread-34812). I've done 5 transactions with them during December, with today's transaction making it six. They've been reliable in each instance. They promise to convert your cash to BTC within 24 hrs. And they have. Though it has always taken them about 14-20 hours. The reviews in that thread speak of them only taking 4 hours or so. I wonder what method they chose to convert to BTC. The method they chose might make a difference in the time it takes them to convert and send you your BTC at the address you specify.

I've always did a deposit of cash into their account using a local branch of Chase or Bank of America.
