The main problem is that you want your site to succeed without really laying out anything yourself - apart from the domain you bought! Apart from "Solution" I don't think anybody wishes you ill will towards your project. You just have to see things from our perspective.

People will only play if you have something worth playing for! I mean you don't even have 1BTC as an offer! Get your machine out and mine a bit if you aren't going to buy some BTC. You can't run a lottery when you don't have a jackpot!

Stop using free webhosting and get your own server and get a page up. The more professional you are, the more people will take you seriously.

You have to put something into this (Webhosting/BTC Jackpot) if you want this to do well. It just seems like you want to do something without any investment on your part - the bare minimum and unfortunately that shows - which makes many people reluctant to participate. If you want to succeed, you have to put something into it too - not just expect donations to give you the jackpot you desire.

FYI, dark colours are never inviting! I'm not out to attack you or anything, just trying to give you some advice.

I have a couple solutions for you:
1. Learn PHP/HTML/CSS/MySQL (free tutorials all over the internet).
2. Get a LAMP VPS.
3. Use the learned PHP to build a proper website with the coding you learned.

With PHP, you can provide statistics, generate random numbers, etc. - think of a website as a restaurant, the restaurant may have the greatest food in the world (best idea), but if it looks like a hobo lives there, noone is going to want to eat there. An easy approach would be to go to wsod.org and find a nice template and use that to make a website - its free as well. And if you need any further help, i would be happy to assist - ive created many websites.

BitLotto - best odds + best payouts + cheat-proof

Couple problems:
-you say enter for 0.1 but details says 0.01
-there is no way to verify jackpot size?
-you don't describe how you are picking the winner - how does the other website do it? Where is the random number coming from? What's to stop repeating getting the number until you get what you need to win?
-you need to explain who can use the mybitcoin vs who sends to the other one a little more I think (it's for newbies?)
-5% may be consider high when others are lower

I just worry that you are going to get this money without having thought out how you are going to pick a winner without any doubt about whether is was honest or not.

For example:
-With mine, it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to cheat and make myself the winner. With yours we can't be sure. It's impossible for me to pay a person who did not actually win
-For me, it's IMPOSSIBLE to fake how big the jackpot is.

I truly believe you need more details. I'll help. I just don't think you are ready yet. IMHO.

From the site:

Quote
If your sending from the Bitcoin client

I never trust someone with money who can't be bothered to run spelling and grammar check before posting on their supposedly professional page. I overlook your/you're and there/their/they're on forums and such, this is an informal method of communication, but to plaster it on the main page of your web site is something else.

hahha bitcoin porn Cheesy

sry back to the topic. I do not mean to be harsh since a lot of people already trashed your site.

You obviously have no business sence. You can not just launch a site and expect it to grow with the first customers losing money no matter what.
Gotta spend money to make money! Otherwise it is a great concept and could make you some money if you invest in it.

Congratulations to your idea and the domain name!

But before you get rich, there are a few things you need to do:
- improve the design (someone offered help already)
- add an initial amount to the jackpot, maybe 1 BTC, better more. If nobody enters and you still have to payout the sponsored 1 BTC, then you'll lose it. But nobody will pay 0.10 BTC for a chance to win 0.02 BTC.
- give more infos, like traffic, number of participants, current jackpot subtracted the fees, security measures, previous winners, etc etc This is needed to build up confidence.

Before reading what I'm about to write, know it is coming from the heart.  You obviously want this site to succeed, whatever your motivations are, so I am going to type this out earnestly ....

visually, you can't have legitimacy / trust if your site looks like a hobo coming at me for change.

I think people are giving constructive criticism (ignoring Solution).
The main things are trust and the Jackpot, I think if you had launched the site with an attractive initial jackpot then the trust thing would be less of an issue..
I would love to start out with a good jackpot it's just that I can't seem to buy any of these things! People are to attached!

I dont know what the original poster did to all these peeps to dislike him/her but i dont believe constant discouragment and use of cuss words and telling someone to discontinue a simple idea just becuase the looks of a website is entirly respectfull and/or neccesarry.

Back to the original poster, i think the problem might be in the trust aspect of the BTC.
What security measures are in place to prevent my Btc from being stolen from you?(do you encrypt the wallet file?)
Is it random? Or pseudo random? If your using your computer to generate random numbers they arnt actually random their peusdo random i would suggest going to random.com(may be it was random.org cant remember) and get real random numbers from their.

And the third point is that you didnt really use any effort for the inital starting jackpot, even if just two people join your site thats enough to commence the jackpot which will notify everyone that their is money to be made from your
Thank you I was going to use random.org but I use a different online system which is basically the same, I did nothing to these people at all idk why there are cussing I just simply want to get the word out and im being yelled at. I use mybitcoin.com if you have a mybitcoin.com account if you dont you must use the bitcoin client on your cpu and I store the funds on mybitcoin.com
See there's a trust issue, I like your idea but I don't know your methods still on keeping the system fair by releasing your random generation method. You claim that the random method works similar how similar? what are the methods that this project use to generate true randomness, as well as what are your formulas in selecting one of the minimum 15 lotto players? do they each get assigned a number and the closest wins? Do they go by the received bit coin address number?

Until you answer these questions I will stop considering your service as a trust worthy bitcoin lottery

what you mean?
How do we know it's genuine?

i.e., the winner is drawn at "random", right?... so who will be the winner then? Huh
I use a site the link is on the bottom of the site and I will upload all the drawings
