As my Dad would have said:

Close, but no cigar!

Funny I was going to write that.

I am changing prize to 1 black factory sealed trezor.

This trezor is provided by trezor  they made an error on my order sent me  black ones and not white ones.

This generously fixed the order by send me whites ones on their dime.

I told them I would do the next promo  and give away a black one.

While mentioning their generosity in fixing an error.

I also must mention  when btc added bcc trezor did a good job of allowing access to the bcc.

New contest to start at block 1116.

Don't want to make this all speculation, but there's likely a correction down the road sometime. It always happens with such large increases and I wouldn't be surprised to go sub 3000 again.

Seems like BTC hashrate is still increasing like nromal this time. I guess I overestimated the power of BCC, was some good free $ converted to BTC though.

Can't knock free money.

You said it.

I traded all my BCC/BCH for BTC as soon as I could get it from my Trezor into a reputable exchange. Missed out on some of the early excitement, but I was playing it safe. Also those 20 confirmations to Bittrex when BCH had slow block times was a bitch.

Could have done better if I took more risk (like leaving my BTC on an exchange before the fork, or using a lesser known exchange with a lower confirmation requirement), but I'm happy with what I got. Especially at BTC's price today.

over 3400 damn this is good

We got as high as 3335 on coinbase the other day.

and BCC is about 209  so with BTC at 3293 on BITTREX  that adds to 3503  which is past 3500.

I can see a lot of shifting happening for the next few months to come.

On july 31  12:01 btc was  2731  and bcc did not exist

So  this is a jump from 2731 to 3503  if you kept your coins in a good place.

Some did better if they had coins on Bittrex
Some did worse if they had coins on Coinbase
Some did okay if they had their coins in a core wallet.

https://coinmarketcap.com/

is back over  110 billion dollars for all coins

Is bitcoinwisdom.com's difficulty page hung? Looks like it hasn't been updated in a few days.

 Looks like it's working to me.

 Green line isn't QUITE flat, blue and grey bouncing around some.

Yes, it has been for a few days. No graphs to indicate a trend to help you (or me). Phillip suggested : https://bitcoincharts.com/ buried in the message above for basic info.

Feels a bit like "flying blind" to me though.   Sad

this is all we have
https://bitcoincharts.com/

Blocks   479236
Total BTC   16.490M

Difficulty   860221984436
Estimated   910823657166 in 572 blks   We stop picking at 516  about 56 blocks

Network total   7493822.680 Thash/s
Blocks/hour   7.30 / 493 s

to find current diff estimate

91082/86022 = 1.0588    or about 5.88%

-2.3 = fr4nkthetank
-1.1 = philipma1957
1.6 = mocacinno
 1.5 = Leowonderful
 2.1 = isoneguy
 3.2 = Psi
 3.9 = VRobb
4.1 = Landy1264
4.9 = edonkey
 5.0 = miguelik
 5.6 = actmyname
5.9 = FlyingHellfish
6.0 = alh

 6.5 = Quintleo
6.6 = vapourminer

7.1 = buwaytress
 7.4 = Last of the V8s

 8.0 = HagssFIN

56 blocks to pick and we are near 5.88%

we stop picks in 42 blocks.

we are still around 5.88%

so picks like
5.7
 5.8
 5.9

6.1
6.2
6.3
6.4

all look smart with under 42 blocks to pick

BTc price is on a real tear now at $3278. Looks like Phil's estimate/hope of $3000 by early August is spot on. Just have to see if it holds.
