If users receive remuneration from other users for access to the full version of the platform, then what is the point of giving them an additional remuneration for being in the top-10? I think, this is just an additional and pointless expense.
I think you misunderstood. Suppose, I am ranked 1. Then you, a common user, can pay me to copy my portfolio. This is why users should try to maximise their returns and get listed as a top 10 manager

Portfolio manager takes 20% of the profit
Platform takes 5% of the profit
The original investment will always be for the user only.

5% of the profit made will go to the platform.
In case of a loss, we will waive off everything, nothing will be charged.
Why not just implement a few portfolios, that are created by experienced users? Popular traders can help to attract new clients.
That is exactly what we are planning to do. Initially we will launch with 5 pre-defined portfolios which will be handled by pro-traders, just like you suggested.
Then, normal users have the option to show off their own portfolio performance and become asset managers.
We encourage everyone to apply to become an asset manager and earn 20% of profit made.
