Sorry we've been out of touch, everyone, it's just been a very busy time for us. We still have a lot of active franchisees, but our growth slowed to halt with our boss decided to experiment with charging for the franchised outlets. That experiment is over, and they are once again free. All other partnerships are still going on. Let us know if you want to bring the NewsBTC franchise to your neck of the woods!

Apologies for being out of touch; it's been a busy time. NewsBTC, however, has still been chugging along, as has its franchisees. There were some ups and downs, but the future is looking brighter than ever.

We briefly had an chief editor named Tamer, despite the objections of a couple other employees (like me). Although he did a couple good things for our Google ranking, he was trolling Reddit and writing stories that look bad for Bitcoin (such as about ISIS links), so boss-man finally got rid of him. We have many new associates including Ruben Alexander from the old Bitcoin Magazine, instead.

We've since recovered fully and grown immensely. Although traffic has been quite sporadic--I personally haven't had much time to write, being currently stuck in a third world country--its peaks have been record highs for us. Our Alexa ranking has also continued to climb, and is now below 30K and still improving. We've also partnered with Ascribe in addition to our DECENT partnership, as we're very committed to blockchain-based content and rights management.



The NewsBTC franchise hasn't grown much in all the chaos, but existing franchisees have been benefiting from the growth of our brand. We're releasing some new programs and tools to support them, and have added some more organization to the whole thing to keep it together as it expands.

As part of these efforts, we've also revamped the NewsBTC franchise world map. Darker blue regions are going strong and not heavily in need of more partners or writers, while lighter blue regions are looking for additional partners to reinforce the domain by splitting its work load and ownership. The latter now includes Latin America, which--while still one of the strongest franchises (if not the)--recently lost some staff, and needs bolstering due to its size

NewsBTC and its franchisees have been developing some amazing partnerships. We're strategically placing ourselves for the coming waves of decentralization, working with projects like:

• DECENT, a blockchain-based peer-to-peer network that allows content creators to publish and profit from their work without going through a middle man. It's censorship-free, and they've made freedom of speech a huge part of their campaign.
• Coin Forum, a Bitcoin forum by Canadians, for Canadians. The Bitcoin Co-op has been a part of their community for a while.
• Death Row Democracy, the first TV series made with Bitcoin for Bitcoin. Both fundraising and publication have been decentralized, and we'll be covering their every move.

NewsBTC USA has been consolidated into a single franchise outlet, and is now up for grabs. Let us know if you're reading to take our coverage in America to the next level, and you could be the new owner. We're also still looking for new franchisees in Europe and Southeast Asia.

The NewsBTC franchise continues to grow, and as a result, newsbtc.com's Alexa ranking is about to drop below 40K for the first time. This means we're already a top Bitcoin news site, and our growth rate suggests this trend will continue.



In other news, administration of the NewsBTC Canada franchise has been taken over by the Bitcoin Co-op due to inactivity and mismanagement. We will divide all revenue generated equitably among employees, in keeping with Co-op principles.

Also, we need another manager for the United States, who will become a stakeholder in the franchise. NewsBTC USA Midwest and South are lacking in representation. We're also still searching actively for potential franchisees in Europe and Southeast Asia

Our viewer statistics continue to improve. Our number of unique daily visitors was over 9,000 on Sunday, a new record; our Alexa ranking is also still climbing, now finally under 50K. Things are looking up!

We also did some reorganizing. NewsBTC's West Africa, East Africa and South Africa franchisees have been united under one banner. Good job Sam Yohannes! Now that most of our existing franchisees are up and running, we're hoping to find some more. Let us know if you're interested!

The regional franchise map hasn't changed much since last we posted; we've mostly been focusing on development and getting the existing outlets up and running. There are now a dozen on the drop-down menu with their education sections translated, and at least half of them are already posting articles. We tested out our PR program for generating targeted traffic boosts, and it worked out pretty well.

Our team has been successful in the publishing business for several years; for people who are only experienced at Bitcoin, they'll help guide you through your business process.

I've been successfully spreading Bitcoin brands on a very small budget for several years. As a result, I operate several related social media accounts, and will help you build a following. I'm also working with the other franchisees on some internal programs to boost everyone's publicity.

Interesting offer, but as stated on your website, what kind of support would you be giving out in terms of strategy, marketing, sales, business process and more.

NewsBTC is still chugging along. The Latin American franchise got 800 views 2 days in a row, and we're super proud of Pedro Rivera for setting an example and proving we can make this work. We expect some advertisers there, soon.

Mexico is going to be its own franchise, now, and we're actively looking for a manager there. There are also openings in the Caribbean, Indonesia, and all of mainland Western and Central Europe. Running your own Bitcoin news outlet is still free worldwide--send a message if you're interested.

If I had the time I'd consider tackling the Dutch market, but my time is very limited atm .. But I noticed your post in the Dutch subforum is getting quite some attention

The NewsBTC franchise continues to grow at an impressive rate. Several more countries are on the way, including Sweden, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey and Greece. We're also tinkering with the website and its subdomains as we speak, and will have more of the franchises live soon. Check out the new regional map:

Great to see the list is rising! However, you still haven't managed to partner with someone in Europe. It would be great to see a NewsBTC Franschise in my country.
