NOT asking if you particularly have one, just opinions on if its the best hardware wallet.
If you were referring to some of the review platforms that rated this hardware wallet as the "best" due to its so-called highest security certificate, it's important to note that this information is misleading [the EAL7 is for their firmware (AFAIK, none of the other brands have requested their firmware to be graded) while their secure element has a grading of EAL5+ (it's worth noting that there are other hardware wallets with higher secure element gradings)] and there must be a reason why after three years, they still haven't released the source code [despite saying they will in numerous occasions]!

Hi new to the forum not to crypto and i was wondering if anyone had experience with NGRAVE Zero?  NOT asking if you particularly have one, just opinions on if its the best hardware wallet.  Heard rumors the Trezors have/can be hack but must be obtained physically? Thanks
No Ngarve is certainly not the best hardware wallet, whatever that means.
It is one of the most expensive hardware wallets, it has closed source code, and it doesn't have many standard options for wallets like coin control.
I would not use this as my primary wallet and I think there are much better and cheaper options available in the market now.

Yah i perordered one long ago and have never took it out of the plastic so its worthless if i dont use it, reviews for people that have actually used them seem to like them besides the app but on the 10+ air gaped wallets i spent hours researching yesterday same thing.
I am sure this is not going to be the first thing in your life that you ordered and didn't use much  Tongue

Could I learn why?
I would unpack and try it just from the sheer  curiosity.
To pay such a sum for NGRAVE  and hold device in the plastic sounds a nonsense for me.
At least you could use it as one of cosigners  at multisig wallet.
Multisig can be implemented not solely for bitcoin but also for various alts.

I did not find anything to prove that it is open source, but after reading @satscraper about how to generate the private key, I decided to read their article. At first, I did not like belittling other entropy to prove that you are the best and without evidence. They are lying, but let us move on to their idea, which is to obtain 16 hexadecimal characters (0–9, A-F) of the seed are not an additional feature that makes the generation of the private key truly random. Both multi-signature and passphrase addresses can be combined to avoid all the mentioned failure points.

with this high price, it is possible to obtain a better wallet that contains more than one secure element, and better resistance to physical attacks.
Ngrave tried to perfect its wallet but added more complexity without really boosting entropy.

I have not seen many people recommend it in the forum, so i don't think it is the best hardware wallet, but i think it is the most expensive. NGRAVE zero costs ~ €398, while NGRAVE combo pack (zero + graphene) costs ~ €498, that is surely too expensive, and i don't think many people would want to spend that much on a closed source hardware wallet when they can get recommended and DIY options for cheaper.

I head  you to the thread on this forum where you can find discussions on most important (for  any hardware wallet)  peculiarities of NGRAVE ,i.e.  the means of SEED creation and technique of backup.

They have approaches  which are  unique in the filed but also have implemented solutions that might be considered as questionable at least.

Please, start to read that thread from this message  and proceed further below it.

I searched a bit about Ngrave ZERO hardware wallet and it's not clear if they have an open-source code most people said it doesn't have an open-source code.
Like others said if a hardware wallet does not have any open source code we do not know what it actually does to handle our wallets. Meaning it's not safe to use.

If you want to keep your asset safe then use a hardware wallet which is already proven by many people and 100% open source.
We already have a list of open source hardware wallet here on the forum its better to check them here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-open-source-hardware-wallets-5288971

I have no experience with that wallet, I didn't find many discussions too about Ngrave Zero Is NGRAVE ZERO worth its money? . Most of them talks about expensive and too much buzzwords.

Nah, you don't have to obtain trezor or any hardware wallet physically, but you must make sure you bought from official resellers or official stores, not from unknown third party. Trezor is open source, many people use it and popular, so every wallet you generated must be random.
