Yeah some of the information may not be the current update because from when Op updated this thread it was two years ago which is the year of 2023 and the date you got from this year may not be the same as the OP because a lot of time has gone in between them, so it will not be that accurate, perhaps this thread should be regularly updated by the Op on yearly basis so that people will not misinterprete the past year data to be the current year, though even if he feels there is no need for that but at least this is a heads up for somebody who wants to predict the global stand of Nigeria in this aspect.

No doubts Nigeria is doing well in almost every works of life globally and even in Africa, some of your records aren't upto date, you may need to check the recent rankings probably update them both in Africa and globally because almost everyday they seem to be breaking new heights.

Nigeria is indeed a great nation with much influence on Africa and to even the wider world because virtually in all aspects of life there is no place that you don't see a Nigerian excelling and doing great because when it comes to Africa Nigeria dictates the pace for others to follow because there is no industry that you will enter today that Nigerian are not leading is it in the movie industry or entertainment nigeria is leading not only in Africa but even in the world

Nigeria is a blessed country that has so much potential of greatness that is stored inside of her because Nigeria is blessed with both minerals and human resources to succeed and become one of the greatest countries in the world but unfortunately we are infected with the disease called corruption which has become a cause to the Nigerian state as Nigeria is not doing so well in the economic stage as Nigeria despite the aboudant resources that the country is blessed with is one of the poorest countries with a very weak economy

If no be bad leadership the country wey Nigeria go be now no be small thing, as they are calling Nigerian the giant of Africa no say na just name E get the doings for name, Nigeria dey among the top countries wey dey provide better thing, many things dey Nigeria dey produce wey some countries no fit produce am that is why some countries can not do without doing any business with Nigeria, na our leaders make our country look like place wey be say E no get value.

Nigeria dey among top countries wey dey produce crude oil and na Nigeria dey suffer when it comes to fuel price, I no regret being a Nigerian because I am proud of my country because some white people dey pray make them get better place like Nigeria now, nothing do our country na only bad leadership and we no fit do anything because fighting government in Nigeria is like putting yourself into trouble that you will not be able to come out from.

Who would have thought that ordinary Nigeria will be this highly rank in the world as a country that produces some certain food items, actually I can't remember the last time I checked all this records, you don't no how proud I'm to see how the country beat so many others both in the world and in the African countries, if not that you shared this information and unexpectedly somebody is ask all this question the person will definitely rate Nigeria very low because they will not believe we are this good, actually I have now understand why the name giants of Africa come in because I was thinking the name only originated from football aspects without knowing that there are other components that make whole of it.

I find am difficult to even read through the list, because at the end of the day, de achievements no even reach our side. Best in this...best in that, but we still dey borrow money like say nothing dey come out from the country. If I settle down, begin write watin dey pain me, i fit go type watin no good. Let's not deceive ourself, it's not a matter of being negative, the country is not just getting any better. Na we be the best for so many things, but when the price of things go up, dem no go come down.

Zero accountability, zero transparency, greed, self-centered, and so many things done eat up the country, but truth no dey let us talk. There is nothing to be proud of. Them same: it will take collective effort to make the country great again, but the hands of just few men strong pass the collective effort.

The only thing wey I fit advice be say, make we as individuals try to help ourselves. If u think say person go come help u, oga wake up!!!. We must try to place ourselves in a good position to also help others. Nigeria is a country that is highly favored by God with the endowment of natural resources.
Nigeria is said to be the giant of Africa in populations and  natural resources, but Nigeria is not living as the giant of Africa.
Nigeria is blessed with so many natural resources but the leaders lacks the wisdom to manage the resources. Nigerian achievement cannot be compared with other African country and the world because there is no thing to write about the achievement of Nigeria.
Are we to compare Ghana with Nigeria? No, Ghana is far more better than Nigeria in terms of achievement.Ghana has an uninterrupted power supply, Nigeria has no stable power supply.
Ghana currency is higher than Nigeria currency.
With all this I have mentioned Nigeria achievement cannot be compared to other African country and the word achievement.

At this point naija never achieve anything, our failures surpass our achievements by far and it's not a good one. See waiting they happen this period, fuel scarcity and now naira scarcity, how are we supposed to survive, it's disturbing that a country like naija stil dey go through this kind situation, for me Everything about naija na failure our only achievement is building strong citizens that can survive any situation because we we dey the county fit survive and we dey survive anything. Your talk no far from the truth at all, corruption na the major problem wey Nigeria get, like you talk for the part of your comment way i edit commot, Nigeria is truly blessed, i dey listen to one this government people for USA one day, he talk say, with the kind money wey Nigeria get, plus all the natural resource and other things like fertile soil for cultivation, good rivers wey we dey catch good fish, forest where we dey see good meat kill, even land wey our animals go see grass to feed on, he talk say with all this, Nigeria suppose be the world richest country, but he dey surprise the way wey the matter come be revise is the case.

Nice OP, upon all these things wey you mention, e prove to me say Nigeria na still the giant of Africa but na leadership they doll us, but still at that, we still they see food chop and we still de ahead of some countries.
Imagine if we get good leaders, that means say nobody go fit stand and drags being the giant of Africa with us because we get so many Natural resources and enough land for food production, and we they also try industrially. How I wish Nigeria go get better leaders wey go change the economy and move the country to the promised land.

I would not argue the fact about him being the richest lawyer in Africa. The name alone should tell you that he is the defender of the jagaban dynasty so therefore, he should be cruising home with fat pocket after the success of every jury. We all know the jagaban himself will go at all cost to defend himself irrespective of the nature of the case or whatever the case may be. Money is not the problem neither is it a challenge for the jagabans to sort things out themselves  for their convenience, safety and all other stuffs which would likely put them in the public domain in a wrong way which we all know. Apart from that, we have no doubt he might double as the family lawyer so that grants him access to whatever he needs too and possibly business connect too. With all these features and attributes, I have no doubt he is the richest lawyer in Africa.

Comparing Nigeria to Ghana should be mostly directed to the jollof, because with what I just read, Nigeria as a nation seem to have made breakthrough in areas where Ghana or other African countries still dare to thread.  Although, in recent times, Ghana seem to be attracting investors, tourist, and international ovation for maintaining an almost steady system, it still had miles to go before its achievement measures that of Nigeria.
Finally, despite what we produce, we still have food prices going up and never coming down. Inflation and rates going up and never coming down. What can be said about the plight of other countries is theirs to contend with, we still got some fixing to do.

All these information na e make them say Nigeria na e be giant of Africa becos we tight for so many things. I own problem be say no be say Nigeria no get money and get mouth for the world but na d suffer we full the country na e make people dey vex becos check  out all the record wey we get still abject poverty still dey the country because of greedy leaders.

Foreign people know all these resources and income we dey enter the country na e make dem dey vex why the leaders still keep the country the way e be. Just imagine say Ghana wey dey use our kanji dam get light,dey celebrate so many years without power failure but  for naija we dey no fit get light straight two weeks for all the part of the country at once. We have intelligent and professionals in different field for our country but because the country dey anyhow many of them son run leave the country to another country wey value their worth.

You dey export all the agro products but food scarce and cost die for our country. No be juju be dat.

When it comes to this , I think Nigeria is really back compared to other countries when you put our resources into consideration,  countries like Ghana have made tremendous successes over recently compared to Nigeria in the economic and academic sector not talking about our power sector you will see that Nigeria is far behind other countries in Africa.

Even coming to sports we are way behind some African countries like Cameroon and Egypt, 
But in music Nigeria leads the way and produce the best African musicians in the persons of Burna boy, WizKid and Davido. So Nigeria as a country generally is far behind some countries of Africa.

I really enjoyed reading through your post, it is so full of positivity and gives me hope that if we can set things right in this country we can become not just a major player in Africa but in the world. Our politicians remain our biggest setback with the massive mismanagement of public funds. We nor dey where we suppose dey as country, and that na something wey suppose dey pain us normally. Another election season nai be this ooo, Make I talk am again, I hope say we dun collect PVC and dey ready to vote right. The people wey we go vote nai next month nai go determine how the country go be in the next eight years and if we go still get the remaining status wey we get for the world eye.
