We no own scam, we reject am in everyday and that's why, we dey try everyday to teach our people say, e no good and our government no smile with am at all. We go dey clean our house and make them way dey tag us try clean therr house too. Na there dirty don fine us come so.

There is no doubt the fact that there is a high rate of unemployment /underemployment in Nigeria and the rate of poverty is high in Nigeria as a result of corruption stealing of government money and poor anti citizens' government policy.

I really do not think Nigerians and Nigeria is widely known for only bad things. There are good Nigerians out there making Waves and making good name for the country also, earning a good and legit business. In as much as there are Nigerians virtually in almost every part of the world, they are making the country proud. I believe it is the situation of the country that leads to all these bad name calling of Nigeria and Nigerians in diaspora. If the system of government here is favourable and economic growth is in a growing state, I do not see any reason why people would get themselves involved in illegal activities just to make a living but the situation of the country is not the type that one would seat and watch but think of alternative means of survival. That is the situation of things in Nigeria.  If the government can not deliver on the the dividends of democracy, the people lacks capital to start up their various businesses what do you expect and I ask who is to be blamed?

I've seen reasonable people, especially foreigners defending Nigerians times without a number. These are the people that have been here, so they know what's going on and concluded that Nigerian scams are overexaggerated. Desperation and poverty have pushed many Nigerians into scams, but still, the scams in the country are mainly romance scams. Many Nigerians might be engaging in this which pushes our scam rating high, but the true scammers are foreigners in advanced countries, not Nigerians.

Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, sixth in the world. Having the highest GDP in Africa. Which means, even as Nigeria has bad leadership and mismanagement, it is a country that is recognized in the world. But there is high rate of unemployment that makes educated individuals not to have job or either underemployed and not living up to expection, but suffering in poverty.
