To answer your question, the top 7 players with the highest parlay payouts can win a share of the jackpot prize. Even parlays that lose by only 1 play can still count towards the jackpot prize. Users that have their highest parlay payout, rounded to the nearest 0.1 BTC, ranked second by highest odds, listed in the leaderboard each month win the corresponding prize.

So, looking at the leaderboard this month:

Rank User Parlay Payout Odds Current Prize
1. 95272 25.0 BTC 1820.326 3.92443962 BTC
2. 169892 25.0 BTC 567.602 1.96221981 BTC

User 95272 and 169892 both have the same payout - 25.0BTC - but the odds of their respective parlays are different. With User 95272 having the higher odds, he's the current leader.

Look up any other competitor, if the tourney has 15 people, 4 people should be paid. If there is 9 or 10 then 3 people should be paid. 7 should have 2. People want the number of people paid correlated to the number of people in the actual tournament. Having a fixed number of people paid for every tournament is stupid, no poker site does that shit unless its a guaranteed satelite tourney which I'm sure you don't even know what that means...

During that time, we received many requests for an increased number of places to be paid. For that reason, we decided to try this payout structure for a little while.
