Why don't you try something like this?

with 290s over 80 degrees is fine. We are using 2 140mm fans.

I have actually found a slight DOWNclock is better than a overclock for me with these cards. No HW errors, etc etc.

I use a plastic case for more airflow. I also use 2 x 200 mm fans. My cards are at 60-65 degrees c hashing at 620-635 khash/s.

I think your cards work better with a downlock because they get hot.

Nah, they don't EVER go above 90.

I just hash better with a downclock, not because they are hot, but because I cannot overclock the elpida ram on them.

If you want to know my clocks: 947 core 1250 memory

I am willing to sell up to 5 systems at cost (To me... so I make no profit.) if you will post a review.

I assure you that my cooling solution will work.

The most impressive for me is that its 978 Watts for 5 cards.

I can find cards easily.. PSU on the other hand is a different story.

the seasonic 1250W is available but i read it chokes on 4x R9 280X..
Beyond the 1250W is the 1500W cooler master silent (silver rated). and while it supports 4 cards am doubtful about whether or not it can run 5.. as a five card rig is usually LEPA 1600W being advised.

I have a feeling i am gonna be trying dual-psu setup of the hairpin kind... which also means that i see a slightly "shocking" future for myself..

Welp this thread got hijacked.

But use a Enermax 1500 for the 4 card...but use the 1600 for a 5 card for sure.

Also if today is any indication I should go and buy a mechanical keyboard, because holy cow did I ever type a lot today.

Have you actually run a "miner" for any extended period of time with 2+ cards inside a computer case? Even with 120mm fans going full speed, I'm willing to bet that temps will be over 80*C on each card.  With any amount of overclocking, the cards simply will not be stable.

I'm all for people trying to make a buck, but you're simply not offering anything the majority of people on here can't do themselves (and worse actually).

I will be extremely surprised if you get your 10 preorders.

For some inspiration.

Problem is, Shipping that is not going to be fun at all, although it can be done.

It's a odd shape, no matter how you say it. It is possible to cool these cards in a standard case, and my card stays at 80 @75% fan speed even with choked airflow.

GOD thats neat.. what cards are those? and whats the PSU watts?

I don't know what the cards are. I think it's a 1200 watt psu.

The image came from google.

My rigs have 4 7950 cards per rig in a plastic crate with 8 gb ram and a quad core cpu (yes i cpu mine cpu only coins) and a 1250 watt Seasonic psu.

For some inspiration.

That is a mining rig.

Personally though I'd go one extra step and watercool them if I was going to go all out, but that's the way to do it. Open-case ftw.

EDIT: Bfljosh, I was going to suggest something like that as well.

OP, if you want to make some money selling digital shovels, do some research on what's actually selling first.

As for the stress testing, all you're really doing is generating an alternative income stream for yourself.

Finally, I saw in one of your other threads, you posted an invoice from Tigerdirect w/ your parts costs, you're asking for way too much of a mark up on something that requires no special skills.

I like the dust. Does it come free with the order?

Nice one!

No, I clean the rigs I actually sell before I ship them. This was a rig that was running for a while... and the dust looks worse on camera than in real life.

But all rigs I ship will never be like that dust-wise. This is my own rig, which I am mining on right now. For that matter, I am typing this post on it.

I understand that you're new at this, but stuffing 3 GPU's in a computer case doesn't make it a miner.

You're going to have extreme heat issues and absolutely no reliability.

Your pricing doesn't offer any discount to the prices anyone pays for components.

The only thing you offer is assembly of a PC.  So please tell me why anyone would want to place an order with you?  In other words, what value are you adding to the components?

Nope, we have fans blowing into the GPUs. You will not have heat issues as long as you run your fans at around 75%.

Great question. We will be pre-testing and configuring your pool info, etc into the components. If you order 2 or more, you actually get 50 bucks off per computer. Every computer is stress-tested for a minimum of 48 hours, which means that you should not be getting any DOA parts when it arrives at your house.

Here we go!

I am selling custom mining rigs. Here are the specs.

AMD SDX145HBGQBOX Sempron 145 Processor - 2.80GHz
Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 AM3+ Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3+
Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 - USB flash drive - 16 GB
Enermax MAXREVO 1500W POWER SUPPLY
(1-3)Asus Radeon R9 290
GEIL Enhance Corsa Series 8GB RAM
CoolerMaster HAF XM Case
2x 140 MM case fans blowing onto the GPU

All parts are the exact same except for the # of GPUs!
It will ship in the HAF XM box... why waste a good box?

The base system with 1 R9 290 costs $1450
Every 290 card you add costs $500 on top of that number.

Then we add shipping and 13% tax (Sorry, I live in Ontario and that is what I have to charge!)

why wouldn't i take this list to NCIX and buy the parts myself?

Sure, go and order it on NCIX if you want, it's fine by me if you want to DIY it. I am for the people who do not want to DIY the computers.

Ok.

what a load of crap, get real dude!  Roll Eyes

Wait, what? May I have some constructive feedback please?

...wait, are you saying I should cut the prices per card a bit to say $475 per additional card?

If you plan to use an escrow, we will pay half the fees for you!

Selling tri GPU systems in a HAF XM case for $2400 + shipping.
3x R9 290 cards. 2.5 MH

Please be assured that we have proper cooling, we are adding fans to the case blowing air into the GPUs.

I have been able to lower my price by adding some efficiency into the way I do things about my lab. I still test these miners, although for a day or two, it's something. (Previous price $3200)

You will have to deal with the manufacturer for parts warranty. If you order 2+ I'll take $20 off per machine.

They will be loaded and configured with the mining distro of your choice!
All you should have to do is plug in the rig and a ethernet cable, and the mining will start. You will have to provide me with your pool worker name, and worker pass. DO NOT GIVE ME YOUR POOL WEBSITE USER AND PASS, ONLY THE ONES YOU USE FOR WORKERS!

Specs:

1500 Watt PSU (Enermax MaxRevo)
HAF XM case (You can run it with the side off if you like, but again, I have attached fans to the side!)
3 R9 290 cards
16 gig USB key.
8 GB of RAM
Mining distro of choice
Pre configured
AMD Sempron CPU

You can drop a GPU if you want, to remove $430 from the price.

You may pay via litecoin or fiat. PM me if you are interested.

I do custom rigs, too!

I need around 3-4 machines to order a batch of parts, although if it has been a week since any new reservations have been placed, I'll order the parts anyways and bill you, for the same price.

POST/PM IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A CONFIGURATION WITH 280x CARDS!!!
