Syscoin and Gulden had similar starts. Both founders weren't rich but the syscoin team took on a lot of financial risks themselves which Gulden always used a premine, development reward to negate most financial risk. Syscoin did add a once a month reward for development at a much smaller scale but this allowed the syscoin team to continue full time on the coin.
What both teams have risked is time into both projects. Rijk with all the development he has done while working is mind blowing, if I have advise for Rijk is that he must not burnout and I hope he also gets to a situation where he can be permanently on Gulden.

I personally think €0.04c is not a unrealistic stable price, from my own experience working 48 hours a week it would be hard to compete with coins where the founders have the financial resources to work on their coins 24/7. Respect to Rijk for having full time employment and working on Gulden in his free time.
Rijk only knows one mode and that is beast mode, with all the value and work he has put into Gulden for 7 years and still does not abandon ship is quite remarkable. Imagine what this guy could do if he wasn't part time on Gulden, I am thinking 100x within a year.

Gulden is Mickey Muis, this is why businesses have no interest. It's freeloading for the founders.
The development is not Mickey Mouse but some of the best in the world. Malcolm and Rob are working hard on Gulden to make it a success and it deserve to be top 10 in development. I know Gulden is not successful when it comes to getting exposure and serious funding but this is what makes it a good speculation. No elites or people with money have taken notice.

The community is awaiting response from Bitvavo exchange (the biggest Dutch exchange) for the offer which has been crowdfunded. If Bitvavo is not willing to list Gulden, there are a few other options worth investigating.

Currently lead developer is working mostly on completing the 'Witness Sync' development as it would be a major improvement for the wallets and is possible in a fully decentralized way thanks to the witness system.
