NewEgg has 5830's -- which are almost as good -- for $129.99 RIGHT NOW.
You can get (2) 5830's for only $260.  That's 600 MH/s!

It's all about the game, and how you play it
And yet the price is no better and newegg had 5870s in stock under 300 dollars

and they'll be gone in seconds, they just got in. its supply and demand. for a bunch of supposed libertarians none of you understand supply side economics
plus that has half the cooling and almost 120 less MH of the toxic cards at 900/300 with 360 MH i am at 55C. in cx i run 58c - 61c they are way better and more stable than the 5830. and is slightly more power friendly.

lol, $300 for 2 5830s would be a lot.
... and you are asking $300 for only one HD 5850.

Good luck, then.

Your asking price is very steep for a 5850.  Microcenter still had a few in stock when I bought mine for $200 which also had a $50 rebate effectively making it $150. One 5850 for $300? Good luck finding someone to buy them.

I'm sorry buddy but you won't find some desperate enough to buy 1 for $300 on here. If you would be selling the pair for $300 that would be more reasonable or even $200 each that would be seen as a little high but still somewhat reasonable.

Just a little friendly advice Grin

I bought two 5850s for $260 when BTC was valued @ $28 each.

25 dollars less then im asking. 40 if you count shipping.  not a huge difference especially if you take into account recent scarcity

if that's for the pair then you got a great deal

Yes, it's a HUGE difference. He paid $130 for his cards; you are asking $300 for cards people can STILL find for $130 with a bit of work.

If they can't go better that a 5830 they're not worth three times the price

Just lookin to net some cash to trade with based on the power to mh ratio and the low availability of these cards seems like a fair price to me espically if you buying them with mined coins
