Hello,
It will be good if scams are reduced to minimum of course, but about the amount of 0.02 BTC per loan is too little. In my opinion lot of people will need loan for much more BTC.
If you provide the right collateral you can get more. this is my point of view. I have been working in a bank for 2 years and know lending and loans  Smiley
People need sometimes money fast to fix some problem in their lives.

Think Vod and some other people are already patrolling the lending section to negative newbies with loan requests with no collateral. And people won't trust positive feedbacks about loans made between newbie accounts, because they are untrusted feedbacks and too easy to be faked.

But a ignore all newbie posts in the loan section buttom would be awesome, anyway.

I have a better suggestion, a lending forum for members who are not yet a full member? It sorts things out much better.

This would never work because of potential bought accounts.

It has been said on here that there are noobs scamming other noobs, however I doubt these are real loans, but rather the same person "lending" money from account to account to build reputation. I think most people see right through this.

The solution should be to have some kind of acknowledgment that a user much click through that gives a list of best practices prior to accessing the lending forum each day. This would essentially force anyone in the lending forum to see what the best practices are to potentially prevent from being scammed.
Exactly. All this kind of rule would do is increase the value of accounts, but people would use bought accounts to scam instead of sig campaigns.

Newbies and jr members are welcome to ask for loans if they can provide good collateral.
Newbies and jr members are welcome to lend their bitcoin out, if they understand the risk associated.

And so I don't think we should restrict them from posting in lending section completely.

"Provide good collateral" well nearly all open loan requests don't offer a collateral, which is most of the sub-forum. Mods need to step-up, it's a poorly taken care of section.

for 0.2 thats too cheap to . ithink  normal peopel can get iit without contract loan anything .
thats just some scheme

What the fuck are you talking about?

Think he said that loans under are useless because any normal people can get it without loans, so most of the lending forum is useless.

I disagree because most kids and teenagers have no credit and in some countries they can't even work, and the dollar purchase power in some countries is really high. In Cuba people survive with $10 or $20, and the chinese workers gain some undreads of dollars/month. India also another country with undervalorized currency, with $3000 you can sustain a family for a whole year.

Plus convert fiat to bitcoin may be expensive, or hard, so might be cheaper take a loan in BTC, then convert later a bigger ammount of cash and repay the bitcoin loand,  than make a small conversion to fiat, then a bigger one later.

Well if life is really treating them that way, I just can't imagine how'd they even have access to a computer, and know what bitcoin is, and know English so well.

Then scammers will buy juniors/member/wharever minimum rank to take loans to scam, or to noobly give loans to untrusted people

Scammers can already do that....

I'd probably support a restriction on brand new users or newbies, but we can't be responsible for naive newbs getting scammed as we're never going to stop that. Having restrictions also stops genuine noobs who may have collateral to get a loan, though I accept those instances are rare.
I even think that you should not really allow members.
Anyone registering here just to ask for a loan is either trying to pull of a scam or looking for trouble. I have no seen a single newbie with collateral to date (although I might miss someone in that section, it's just too full these days).

What about new users who have adequate collateral for a loan?

On top of that, like it says on the lending section description:

Quote
Lend BTC or get loans of BTC. Beware of scammers! Post counts and "titles" under users' names are poor indicators of trustworthiness.

I think they can wait the couple weeks to get that loan, if it's really important. If it's urgent, use BTCJam.

I get your point and it probably would be a good idea, but the community is smart enough to fish them out Cheesy.

Yes I know, but I've seen noobs scamming noobs.

And generally it ruins the whole forum. If I go there and try and find someone to loan to, most of the threads I click are bullshit noobs trying to scam. It's just annoying really.
