No one can shut down Bitcoin, even if it is banned, it will not work. Bitcoin is decentralized, and nodes are scattered all over the world. There is no way to shut down all of them. It will only work unless the world's network is stopped. .

True that Bitcoin can't be shut down but its enemies are finding any possible way to make it less and less popular and usable. Technologically speaking I believe bitcoin is unbreakable given the current conditions while the only troubles can be find in the mining cartels (but they earn money from it so they were never be able to create fuss) and regulatory bodies which could use fear to make people afraid of BTC.
With taproot Bitcoin will gain some more years of life but I start to believe this is a never ending battle!

The regulatory bodies which continuously chasing those transaction within this system, if the government continue to make much strict regulations those who are afraid of being stuck will move to other venue of investment,

But in terms of technology, there's no possible way that this system will be shutdown, the system are very usable and much secure compared to  what financial institutions are using.

With more adoptions, surely it will continue to prosper and value will continue to rise high.

I think that only people who do not understand at all what they are talking about are talking about "shutdown". Bitcoin is "Skynet" it cannot be turned off and the revolution has already taken place. It's just that many people and governments do not want to put up with reality and continue to try using old methods to regulate an essentially different economy, which is changing its outlines and participants more and more every day. Complication and progress are inevitable, just not everyone is ready to understand this today.

The government is also people. And many of them also hold bitcoins. And they will definitely be against the adoption of laws to ban bitcoins. And then there are countries where bitcoin is supported. I think that never all the countries of the world will agree to ban bitcoin.

From my point of view, Bitcoin can't be shut down. Because it is not controlled by one person, it operates on an decentralized method. Bitcoin is controlled by all Bitcoin users, so it literally impossible to shut down Bitcoin. Also the Government just have to embrace Bitcoin and understand that Cryptocurrency won't kill Government fiat currency. The more Government tried to shut it down, the more popular it gets.

It's not impossible but it would take a coordinated effort from governments and companies of different countries to attack/control the network then completely shut it down. It looks impossible because I doubt that anyone would spend billions/trillions/quadrillions of dollars for this. Why would they when they can easily benefit from it through regulations (taxes)?.
besides that here it will cause new crimes again, if the government bans bitcoin on a large scale it will certainly result in bitcoin becoming illegal, and this can lead to new crimes such as creating loopholes so that they can still access bitcoin even though it is prohibited besides that it's still everyone who has dabbling and disadvantaged will still do the action in bitcoin.
it is very difficult to prohibit this because bitcoin is like mushrooming and becoming a trend among young people and large companies.
besides that, investors who have a lot of money will certainly play behind the scenes like bribes etc. when bitcoin is prohibited so that they can run bitcoin even though it is prohibited.
It's really hard to ban this and I'm sure it won't be able to

Pretty much. They can outlaw it, but they can't ban it.

And yes, a country's government making the ownership of bitcoin illegal would definitely be unfortunate, but let's be honest here: how successful are governments going to be in banning digital things? They can't even ban digital piracy and drug usage, what more with a freakin decentralized asset?

Even though it is prohibited, there will still be loopholes because after all the efforts of the government to prohibit this and make bitcoin illegal in various countries that have started to ban it, there will still be loopholes and I think it is not a small but very big gap, even in countries that prohibit it there is still a gap. many can access because of that gap.
and people who are in countries where bitcoin is banned must do anything to save their assets.
It's like an open secret just like the eradication of drugs and other crimes you say

Bitcoin do not have centeral point of control or main server which can be shut down that's why it is decentralised currency which is running across different nodes around the globe on your computer. For joint efforts government can ban them but still there will be Bitcoin usage and no government is going to took that step jointly as many have regulated it and others are on the way.

Internet cannot be shut down in today's era because of digitalization and so is the case with Bitcoin and moreover 51% attack is also not possible due to huge investment and still the other miners will not validate the transactions. So in last we can say it cannot be shut down.

No one really can do that. At least one person or group will not be able to do this.

Maybe if there will be a total collapsed of internet connection and electricity. Other than that, no one can shut down bitcoin because people adoption continue to increase and demands for bitcoin keep increasing. Even it was prohibited in other country, people always find a way on how to use it and invest on it.

No one can lock the door of bitcoin, anything, any impact.  Bitcoin is unique, it will not break with any symptoms.  Even -35% with socks is still woven by Elon on the environmental impact of bitcoin.

We are back better, will continue to be bullish.  The $100k price that's still being seen on the twitter analytic communities every day is possible.

Governments would need to ban ALL cryptocurrencies, tokens and a lot more. If only Bitcoin was banned, we could simply give it a new name, so what - in the end - will be banned? Code in general? Using math to create large numbers? Cryptography in general? The internet? Computers? Btw I can mine bitcoin with pencil and paper. Will they ban pencil and paper? I can use drums to transmit binary code. Will they ban drums? I can also shout. Will they ban my voice? Not gonna happen...
Too many big guys are in the game already and greed is a motor for progress. Bitcoin is like a trojan horse in my view.

Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao said it’s impossible for a single entity to kill bitcoin and its underlying blockchain technology. “I don’t think anyone can shut it down now, given that this technology, this concept, is in 500 million people's heads,” he added. Binance is the biggest cryptocurrency exchange by volume.

Theoretically, this is true, but governments and regulatory bodies can severely restrict access to and redemption of bitcoin. While the network will always be accessible through an internet connection, and Bitcoin will always have value, it is another issue if BTC use and custody are heavily regulated or outlawed due to Governmental fear of losing their monopoly on the money supply.

Your opinion?

I agree with him. The government has no authority over BTC so it's impossible for them to fully stop BTC from existing and even if they have the power to do that, it should be done before. Moreover, they could restrict the access of people on BTC but it's not enough to take down a decentralized network which runs for over a decade already.

Why do the community need the CEO of Binance to say this before they believe. If you didn't know this until it came out of the mount of CZ then you don't understand the industry you're into. Nobody can stop a decentralized system expect the people abandon it. We own the power here and not the elite, their fud can't do much in the long term so they better enjoy it while they can.

If you notice unlike previously the fud this days aren't of much impact on the community. The market declines though but majority of that is due to the previous run and profits are been secured (that's a healthy market correction) and a buying opportunity which is why a rebound occurs almost instantaneous or within a short period of time.

It is possible to shut down bitcoin if there will also an electricity collapsed and disabled all internet networks, but impossible for the big companies to do this because we are in a new generation using modern technology. Our life is not the same 100-300 years ago, where there is no internet and computers. If you can see, there's a lot of bad news about bitcoin everywhere, FUD, Government rules and regulations, banning of bitcoins in other countries, restrictions to use it, everything which can cause negative effect in bitcoin spread everywhere, but bitcoin is still alive with huge demand and the adoption of it keep on increasing. That is how strong bitcoin is.
If such a scenario happened then we will have a lot more problems than bitcoin not existing anymore, without the electric grid it will be impossible to maintain the number of people living on this earth so governments cannot really shut it down out of their own volition, so there are only two options there was some kind of human-made attack that disabled the electric grid or there was some kind of global disaster that did so, but except for scenarios like that bitcoin is basically unstoppable so there is no reason to worry about a ban or anything like that.

Yes, there is no way to shut down Bitcoin except shutting down the whole internet.  Grin  But it is an impossible thing to do of course. We always indicate that cryptocurrencies are not under anyone's control. Governments or people can manipulate the price, ban them, regulate them etc. . But when it comes to erasing them, they have nothing to do about it.

Probably not, Bitcoin are now known all over the world and many countries are now accepting  Bitcoin as mode of payment. My country has now  legalize the use of Bitcoin and other crypto, but some of country banned Bitcoin, but still some of their resident used Bitcoin secretly.
agree, that as many countries continue to recognize bitcoin, at least there is recognition given that bitcoin is very important. because all cannot avoid technological advances that are constantly being updated, including being able to receive bitcoins in every transaction that may be needed. Bitcoin is certainly synonymous with technological advances and it is real and irrefutable.

Indeed, there are still some who have not accepted bitcoin as a legal medium of exchange because some things may still be an obstacle, because of the nature of bitcoin, no one controls and moves it. so that it will be difficult to predict if it is not given strict regulations, so that there will be no abuse which is still often feared by some countries. many countries are afraid because it is often used as a money laundering proceeds from corruption and drug trafficking.
where precisely the state must fight against it, so it must be patient in matters like this.

but very confident that in time there will be acknowledgment and at least can work to cover up the shortcomings, which fiat cannot do and bitcoin is there to be able to do that.
