I've been a member here since April of this year, but I haven't made any posts yet, so this explains my "restricted" status...
So (please correct me if I'm wrong), I have to wait 4 hours from starting this topic to be able to reply to a thread outside of the "Newbie" forum...

I have the exact same problem. Actually I joined right now to reply to a thread. I also don't see where this "sticky" thing is. Can anyone show me?
I have the same permission, man.
New members are confined to the newbie area until they have a certain number of posts and time on the site. I think it is something like 5 posts and a certain number of hours logged in, can't remember exactly though.
All you need is one post in newbie area and wait 4 hours
Thats the most stupid rule I've ever heard of. Newbies cant answer questions about mining to me.

After you've spent some time logged in and posting here you'll be allowed to post in other areas of the forum.

After your first post in newbie, you must wait for 4 more hours to unlock reply button on other sections.
