Ethereum hype is dead, yet the price remains fairly stable.. They need a major announcement to get new investors on board..
This is probably best explanation hype is over! But what can happen with price is already seen with other projects. Eventually people will try to exit at some point to join "another one" project that will kill Bitcoin and takeover its marketcup..But if falls drastic i will place my orders.
This is peak at the moment i'm sure! Grin

ETH is doing just fine thank you very much. Last year there were a lot of threads because it was a new tech and a lot of users and traders needed help in learning all about the technology underpinning it. Now that everyone knows and understands it's tech there is less to discuss or help others with. But that will change when we realease Metropolis.
is that so,so we will see more topic about eth flooding this sections again, you have your reddit and your forum why not confine to those, and let the legit conversation about crypto currency in general

@TaunSew
The laundry Machine comment made me snort laughing (i never did hear the details on that)

I also want to point out Taun's comment is true !
You can see yourself on Polonibox.com by searching with keywords such as "IBM"

You can also add "Big Banks are Buying Shitloads of Ethereum" Minecache said here.
Yup the same guy that you people here voted a "fraud" (in other words he is a deceitful bullshitter)
Fraudcache also said after the DAO attack that ETH would be $100 each in 12 months (he has about 5 months left)

I also kept thinking the comments here sound an awful lot like the comments Litecoin topics get.
Difference being Litecoin is a CURRENCY and Ethereum is a gimmicky sketchy "APP's" platform.
One was a scammy ICO where the dev dumped a million on you all.
There was no fucking mining on launch guys in 2014.
And someone was buying them up in 100 BTC chunks as seen on the block chain.

The great hype + pump in early 2016 was scammy and suspicious too.
No one came forward to claim it.. but guess who had millions to do it ? Butters.

And probably Coidnesk who had backed it since before it launched with waaaaaay too many stories on it (back in 2014)

If you all did not see red-flags with Ethereum than you are an idiot.
ETH proves the users in crypto are sleazy pieces of shit willing to look the other way to support a shitcoin.. as long as it gets them ROI's.

And it died off in popularity because the profits and pump died off.
People do not come here to support projects.. they come here to profit off anything not bolted down.
Users show up here hoping to buy cheap shitcoins hoping a whale pumps them..
So they can dump.. before it all collapses in on itself. (Butters beat you idiots to it)  Cheesy
Sounds an awful lot like a fucking Pyramid scheme to me.  Roll Eyes

Now that everyone knows and understands it's tech there is less to discuss or help others with. But that will change when we realease Metropolis.

I actually don't think there are many people who understand Ethereum's tech, let alone what smart contracts are or how to even use its wallets. Many of the ETH threads I've seen here were about issues with non syncing wallets and such. Less threads about Ethereum on Bitcointalk are probably indicating that the level of interest has dropped (here at least, for now)? I suppose if the price rises more discussions pop up again...
Never had an issue with wallet syncing nor anyone amongst my circle of friends and families. Doesn't stop haters starting threads spreading their vile spoetfud though. Not everything posted on here is gospel truth.

When ETH goes pos how do you stake when you cant get the blockchain to download I constantly here ppl having trouble myself included also it takes up alot of space does ETH have a solution for this. Now looking at clone coins I think EXP has a lot going on with new features rolling out regularly

when the average block time of a coin is too small (14 seconds according to https://etherscan.io/chart/blocktime) it means every 14 seconds a new block is created. and you are lucky that blocks are empty which means you are only downloading a header with zero to a couple of transaction making the size of each block about 2 KB (https://etherscan.io/chart/blocksize) but it is growing at an alarming rate and soon there can be no full nodes any longer.

and another problem is the lack of number of full nodes to connect to, less nodes, less places to connect to and download and also less decentralization and other problems

not so long ago this board was filled with ethereum topics, to a point that it got annoying. so what happened?
did they stop paying the shills to post for them?

or maybe they are getting ready for a massive pump so they are holding back on making any sound and silently accumulating! the volume is still high!

what do you think?
I thought I'm the only who notice this,I don't trust ethereum quite complicated for noobs like me,so I don't care about their volume, they are annoying because they take a lot of topics her ein the altcoin disscussion.

Spammage about

IBM Adept - anyone remember that stuff or not?  It silently went to the wayside when Paul Brody left IBM / got fired.  Before Paul Brody left, they spent a lot of money doing a weird demo about laundry machines on blockchain (the executives upstairs couldn't had been happy  Cheesy)

Augur - this was non-stop spam, just like IBM Adept, but it was really just re-inventing the wheel of online gambling and not a good re-invention at that.

Microsoft Azure - Ethereum folks made it sound like they had some elite exclusive contract when Microsoft when, months later, we all found out the executives at Azure were whoring out for any blockchain to come on board and dozens signed up.

R3 - Started with forking Ethereum but found out Ethereum's code was shit for the job and later created their own in-house blockchain and leaks suggest they had nothing, so they later begged Hyperledger for code.

DAO - Well you all know how much of a major phuck up that thing was.

You know what?  Ethereum actually reminds me of Doge in a sense.  If you have to spam and shout to justify your existence then you are a shit coin.

many people disappointed of ethereum, because of the hard-fork incident, ETH really lost a lot of investor and seems like the developer also not taking that incident seriously, but I can see ETH is gradually waking up, but I still won't trust my money in ETH until ETH is going to be really stable

Ethereum will reached $100 soon***- lots of related threads like that just because it passed Litecoin. The stage was shining to Ethereum back in the days where hard pump has happened. No talks about Ethereum then let's talk it over here in this thread. Also ETH is still on the top so even it was silent now, it's way better than those other alts in terms of short term trades. As long as there is an interesting volume movement to this coin, it's still profitable to make trades for this alt.

But don't give up on this alt. The manipulation may happen once again and be ready for that.

That was 1 year ago during the great hype + pump.
Time to move on..

People follow the money (what ever is pumped up etc)

there is no argument there. i have also followed the money by catching up on the pre-hype and buying some pre-pump and make lots of bitcoin in the process of the pump(s).

and now that another big dip happened and i bought some at the bottom, i am not ashamed to admit i am waiting for another possible pump but at the same time i have my eyes out for any other possibility.

and besides one of the main features of these manipulation coins such as ETH is that the owner and the whales are never done with them that easily.

Yes that's true if I remember there was at least 5 to 7 topics about ethereum that are always in the first page of this sections and since I'm not into Ethereum I seldom visit this section, now I rarely gor 2 top topics about ethereum.

This is a normal thing in life, people move where the money is, Ethereum price has plateaued out and the probability of growth has decrease drastically because of the level of uncertainty that surround the project.

I haven't read any thread about ethreum for a long time. Just this one only. The price surge huge amount and the forum is talking about ethereum. So what happen now guys? I guess because of hard forking issues. The community were splitted in to 2. But the marketcap is still in good amount. I just dont see a significant sign that it will pump anytime soon. Maybe it will take time to pump again.

Ethereum hype is dead, yet the price remains fairly stable.. They need a major announcement to get new investors on board..

The price is strong because the marketcap is also very strong and big enough to not get dumped to the ground, you can't kill  a coin with 1 billion marketcap so easily, but i believe that the pow turning into pos will make etheruem in trouble, it will fade away slowly until forgotten like litecoin or other big old coin

you don't know how the marketcap works and it actually because of this huge marketcap will die slowly over time. just the same way Dogecoin is dying right now. these coins with a huge supply and an increasing supply have always been getting dumped as fast too.

but the same as Dogecoin or other coins that doesn't mean they won't get pumped and ethereum has a big pump overdue.

So, wake up from your delusional, dude. at least every investor or holder who have made some of the bucks for their pouch won't be giving a cent for you.
PoS Casper will be releasing soon. and what's next it seems ETH will be the hybrid PoW and PoS.  Grin
