Just another member of the so called establishment that wanted to be included in the long list of people who think, or pretend to think, bitcoin is a ponzi/worthless/not backed by any real value/ etc etc

Most of those people clearly have an agenda : the truth is they are afraid, and not a little, that their kingdom will crumble.

He clearly admits it in this sentence :

Quote
”I’m hoping it will bust because if it doesn’t, we have to start all over with monetary theory.”

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
If you read till the end
You can tell he used hope
He's hoping it will fail and burst because monetary theory's would have to be revised.
To him Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, I believe views here are subjective.
This should not be about 'hope'. The man is a failure. One of the people that make history but decided to use it to deceive people or to make name in the future. But he is not going to make any name in the future because bitcoin has intrinsic value and it will not collapse but the adoption continues. He has not been the only critic. There are many bitcoin critics in the past but they all failed in everything they said about bitcoin.

Bitcoin makes me realized that there are lies in the world from these well known people.

Nobel laureate economist Eugene F. Fama predicts bitcoin’s collapse, estimating its chances of survival as nearly zero and dismissing it as worthless.

I think anyone who always wants to be that famous would have to come make his speech about bitcoin.. From his statement

he said. The economist argued that bitcoin cannot replace traditional currency since financial assets must serve a practical purpose to retain value.
And yes we know that bitcoin wasn't created to compete with any fiat rather it was created to assist fiat, where there seems to be a barrier bitcoin would definitely create an easy access to finance. Again it doesn't required third party as fiat whereby banks questions you for every single transaction you carries out from your personal bank account.

Not the first one to hear such negative thoughts from a Nobel laureate. In 2018, Nobel economist winner Joseph Stiglitz says cryptocurrencies should be shutdown,

Quote
Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel-Prize winning economist, says cryptocurrencies should be shut down. He worries that they enable illicit activity by making money transactions less transparent.

So this is not the first time that we have heard Nobel prize winner criticizing Bitcoin or crypto itself. But the thing is that so far those predictions or anti-crypto sentiments makes the market stronger.

In any case, let them talk as much as they want, the market is not going to be affected by this naysayers. Perhaps they are right, however, crypto is too big to fall specially Bitcoin wherein many countries for example, are talking about it making a national reserve.

Its a broad statement but he could be right, bitcoin value is based on market, so if its destined to go back to stone age prices then it will happened once the financial system find another source of tech that could helps all baout the current situation. But is there such tech? So far bitcoin and blockchain is the key and while were at it. Lets hope for everything that it continue in the future.
