This won't lead anywhere, countries don't have much to gain from a war with that poor country beside land itself, but that fanatic might push them to it. If a conflict starts it will end within days because half of Kims army is just waiting for an opportunity to defect.
Exactly. It is posturing, more aimed as show off strength to native north korean subjects than rest of the world. Pyramid like society such as that of NK is by nature inward looking.
For the same reason, US and Soviets once sent rockets to outer space. Not to destroy the world or advance science but to prove to taxpayers that they are number one in the world.
Neighbours are wise to be wary and prepared, but there is no need for overreaction. In a fact it is but an immature gesture of how the NKs are letting off steam, reassuring themselves, that they are military superpower...
