Facts don't confirm that their rocket technology is "up to date". The two stages of the rocket launched in 2012 were examined by Korean missile experts. They reported that the components of the rocket were unreliable and inefficient, the rocket design being based on older technologies from the 1960s and 70s, whereas the rocket engine was almost identical to the Iranian one (don't ask me where they got the Iranian rocket engine from).

I said more or less Smiley.
BTW nothing wrong with the 60' 70' rocket technology. E.g. the good old russian kerosene/nitric acid or DMH/NTO rocket engines are still the most reliable and cheapest engines "on the market" (...but a bit fussy to handle the fuel). The keyword here is "based" e.g. the Scud-C and Scud-D are both based on the ancient Scud-A (what is a direct descendant of the V2) but the newer C and D models are very different in almost every possible ways. So underestimating NK could be a serious mistake. BTW nobody will directly attack NK as it's still a Chinese outpost. Same situation as Ukraine.

But what is wrong with Ukraine, whose outpost is it? if you think it is Russian, then I beg to differ.

The satellite which is not working and tumbling as it orbits around the Earth? I wouldn't call this a successful launch.
we know it is working because it broadcast the song of general kim il sung and song of general kim jong il

Have you heard it yourself or just been told so? According to data collected by astronomers from different countries, the North Korean satellite is malfunctioning.

Quote
Data from trackers in South Africa and Britain suggest the brightness of the satellite has been fluctuating, which indicates it is tumbling as it orbits. That likely means a malfunction in the probe's stabilizers because it was designed to constantly point toward the Earth

Are they telling us lies?

Nice turn. But what about the restrictions that UN put on their "war reparations" to North Korea? Don't you think it rather strange that a country (or an organization) subject to pay reparations sets terms and conditions?

Quote
The operation will be implemented under stringent monitoring conditions, which includes immediate permission for missions to access all parts of the operational chain, access to markets and the use of Korean speakers
thats why they call it humanitarian aid instead of war reparations it is embarrassing for them and they dont wish to admit they're frightened of the koreans

Quote
Besides that, what about China and Russia, do they also pay reparations?
trade and military assistance to help keep the yankee goyim common enemy at bay.

Though these still don't make NK into "a powerful prosperous nation". By the way, which space satellites are you talking about?

Quote
Kwangmyŏngsŏng-3 was a North Korean Earth observation satellite, which according to the DPRK was for weather forecast purposes, and whose launch was widely portrayed in the West to be a veiled ballistic missile test. The satellite was launched on 13 April 2012 at 07:39 KST aboard the Unha-3 carrier rocket from Sohae Satellite Launching Station. The rocket exploded 90 seconds after launch near the end of the firing of the first stage of the rocket
the one they sucessfully launched 8 months later

Actually they are quite a bit far from being prosperous. They are still alive because of the mercy of China. Technologically they are developed relative fast, but the lack of arable land (the whole country is a big bunch of mountains) is still crippling them.
there are occasional shortages and not everyone gets to eat meat twice twice a day and throw 30% of it away like we do in the west but there's no starvation any more. doesnt help that most of the farmland and fishing is in the occupied south.

IS and NK are equally insane.
Kim is just doing the usual scare mongering tactics with his shitty soviet missiles.

Well, actually NK recently did quite a lot of research and development on those rockets and probably they got some know-how from China, so some of those missiles are more or less up to date stuff. Anyway, currently none of those missiles can reach densely populated areas in the US.

the dprk has raised itself up to become a powerful prosperous nation with nuclear arms and space satellites, it has no need for yankee goyim "aid", this isn't the 90s

Much needed reminder given the current obsession with IS and the like, that the craziest mofos in town are still the Koreans of the North. Beyond all dispute.

They threaten for food. If they start warmongering rhetoric, it is right about time the U.S. sent a humanitarian aid to NK. Again and again, as it happened before, many times already. The rules are simple, and both sides know them perfectly.

You'd better open your eyes, buddy. Are you from NK?

UN food body approves $200-m aid for N. Korea (published on June 8, 2013)

Quote
The UN food body has approved $200 million of food aid for North Korea, targeting the country’s most vulnerable people who remain dependent on external assistance. The World Food Programme (WFP) executive board has this week approved a new two-year operation for North Korea starting on July 1, WFP spokesman Marcus Prior said today. “It will target about 2.4 million people — almost all children, and pregnant and nursing women — with about 2,07,000 tonnes of food assistance at a cost of $200 million,” he said

Quote
North Korea suffered regular chronic food shortages under the Kim dynasty, with the situation exacerbated by floods, droughts and mismanagement. During a famine in the mid to late-1990s, hundreds of thousands died

It is kind of repetitive now

has it occurred to you that they threaten you because you killed millions of them, occupy half their country, carry out war game simulated invasions one a year and point nuclear missiles at them?
