If you had posted with your BTC address then you can sign a message with that address and thermos can reset your password for you

Can't. It was an address generated @ Cryptsy so I can't sign it. I offered to send a small transaction from that
address to prove it was me, but never heard back.

No big deal at this point though. I've got the new account, I've been posting under the new account. May as
well keep the new account Smiley

I did use a different BTC address this time though - one that I can sign a message with if need be.

Cheers,

Cynthia

You may be able to contact cryptsy to see if they can give you access to the private key in question if you still have access to that account. Or they could possibly sign a message for you. It would be a long shot but you don't have anything other then time to lose

Since your original account is inextricably linked to your website, then it should be an acceptable proof for you to digitally sign a message using at least one of the addresses containing the funds of the faucets hosted on your website. If one is not enough, then you can digitally sign the same message with multiple faucet addresses. As far as I can tell, your claim is one that is very easily provable. Hopefully, Theymos would consider that option in helping you retrieve your account.

It would be except for the fact that my wallet.dats for all my coins (and everything in the AppData folder as well) got wiped while I
was doing a system restore as part of getting rid of a virus on my computer last week. Was the virus tied to my account hack? I
don't know. It doesn't really matter at this point. General consensus is that anything more involved than digitally signing a message
w/ the BTC address tied to the account and Theymos won't do it.

I've moved on. At this point it would almost be a bigger headache getting it back. Thank you for the suggestions though. I do
appreciate the thought Smiley

Best,

Cynthia

Sigh... back to the drawing board.

I am not new to Bitcoin Talk. I've been lurking and posting here since February as Bitcoin_Mafia. Yesterday some nimrod hacked
my account and changed the email address so that I can't reset the password. I'm stuck until admin either recovers the account
or deletes it altogether.

About me... I am the mother of two boys, ages 19 and 13. The oldest just graduated from high school (yay!). By day I am a
web designer, developer, SEO maven, social media butterfly, and writer. By night I am a crypto fanatic. I love everything about
crypto-currency...the variety, the roller coaster ride of value fluctuations, the possibilities and the accessibliity.

I've started doing commission work promoting altcoins - the odd blog post here, social media mentions there, Reddit, IRC, etc...
One day I would love to make the move to doing crypto work full time, but barring something extraordinary happening, that dream
is quite a ways off.

In the meantime, I run a crypto site - Bitcoin Mafia - where I blog about coins, host giveaways, list (and run!) faucets and other
freebie sites, etc...

When I'm not working or rocketing around the crypto 'verse, I'm usually gaming. Sometimes with the kids, but usually with my
husband. I'm not talking MMOs (though some of those are awesome as well!). I'm talking old school paper and dice D&D. Believe
it or not, I actually met my husband at a D&D game we were both in. We still game most nights of the week Smiley

Anywho, that's me. If you you have a coin that you need promoted (or if you just want to say 'Hey!') drop me a PM. I'm always
here somewhere... lurking.

Cheers,

Cynthia

Your site surely are a clever way to get referrals.

How effective would you say, are the site? Take freebitco.in as a example.

I have to hand it to you, you created a nice site, and it's very entrepreneurial. Hope it pays off. Grin

As I can see 13yhuJJ6idggJWxjN3P8TiovP9ykyvd8HH is your address. Why dont u ask Theymos to provide u an address and send him a predefined some, say 0.0007 BTC, to prove u r the owner. This is the simplest way u can get back your account.

Already thought of that, and even suggested it, but so far have heard nothing back.

From this post I came to know about bitcoinmafia.com, a very nice and well designed site. I can see it contains some faucet review. Would like to know if will be interested to cover CoinLearn.org too ?
