You are newbie to the forums, that is it. People confuse that with being newbie in everything, they will assume everything you know is incorrect.

Also notice that some top posters here as just as newbie, but posted a lot of irrelevant replies everywhere. See that b!z guy as the perfect example, countless comments without any content at all.

I'm not a newbie either, I'm pretty famous around here.  But I have to post here for a while apparently.

Hi all,

Another 1st poster "not really a newbie" to BTC type person here,

To OP mulderfox Great blog, "liked", +1'd as appropriate  Cool

Have been registered on here for quite a while but never posted,

Got into Bitcoins in January 2011, mined with GPU using Bitminter then and am still mining with a few USB Blocks now,

Thought this thread was as good as any for a 1st post  Grin

Welcome to the forums!
Wow, you have a very nice blog, and I really love the name! Anyways, how did you type up that whole entry? I am assuming that you are new to bitcoins but when I was a newbie, I never knew this much!

I'd love to read an analysis on the various coins and see if they have merits, or add value to the crypto currency world.

These alt coins are not used much and it is always subjective - the more coins you hold the more you are biased

Alright -- first attempt to post here blew up.

In any case, I was suggesting that like others here, I'm not exactly a newbie.

I liked the blog as well -- I was hoping there was some info on alt coins, since, with difficulty constantly rising, we're all going to face either abandoning mining, or finding an alt that isn't an outright gamble.  I'd love to read an analysis on the various coins and see if they have merits, or add value to the crypto currency world.

Nice blog.

me too, I'm actually not a newbie. I bought some good gpu hardware to mine about two years ago. but unfortunatelly i did'nt use it as much as I actually planned too. I could have made a lot more this spring.
but I made a good profit anyway, and what's much more important...I'm having a lot of fun concerning the hobbyist side of the whole thing... be it mining or BTC as a decentralized monetary system.

But I'm glad to be a part of this forum!

I've been into bitcoin for over a year now, even though I've heard about it longer ago than that. Sadly, I didn't buy a bigger amount for cheaper then.

I have written about crypto coin in my tech blog: http://www.eyalo.com/379/bitcoin/

And am always glad to learn new things about the subject.

Thanks!  Smiley

Yep, we all wish we got in a bit earlier. Oh well, best to get a feel for the BTC economy and price action now, before the rest of the world catches on.  Smiley
