I am also investing in XRP. I think it is one of the coins that have big potential in the future. It has quite a big number of financial who will support its growth. It depends on your goals. I think it would be nice to share your investments, and give both of them the opportunity to earn money for you when the market goes up.
If you mean splitting I guess that would be a good idea, so if ever things turned to your side then you'll going to get more, but always depend from what you understand and make sure that you are always in control of your investment, sometimes emotions killed your trust so make sure you have good control of it. Too easy for XRP to reach that price this year. It's just a long time to accumulate it, and that makes investors nervous when the BTC increases or decreases, which makes it fall.

I am not going to talk about obvious ones like bitcoin and ethereum, those are already known and everyone should get them as much as they can. However, if you want anything smaller than I would totally suggest eos for example, it is a good coin that can honestly be used for many things right now, it has a lot of potential with the dapp world right now, they are working amazingly with the erc20 wallet extensions as well and building games upon games and casinos so they are doing amazing.
The only bad side is there are a lot of utilities they are fixing but there are other coins focusing on the same thing as well, right now they are looking like top 3 coin in dapp world but that doesn't mean it will continue forever so there is a chance they could potentially get destroyed if anything better comes up.

I think invest on bitcoin and ethereum is the best choice, i never invest on XRP and i don't believe that XRP will grow a lot even on a bull run, maybe the price with USD will grow but only if bitcoin price will grow.
Well, I invested in XRP and have some XRP coins in my wallet. Unfortunately, i did not get enough profits and I was kinda disappointed with it's performance. Honestly, it did not suited to be a long term investment. It's price is hardly pumping and it is not that progressing. I think, it is only for short term trades.
This coin is very good and able to compete with Ethereum. XRP also has a large community so that trading volumes can increase. With the sudden movement through Ethereum, this coin will be able to return to number two. In this year XRP is more promising and for long-term investments is great.

I think we are really fast approaching altcoins season, which I do not think will be up to a year again, the new ATH is really fast approaching, for alts and I think some of this low coins like XRP will be ok for investment, just that XRP may not give more that 100%, unlike some altcoins that gave up to about 1000% e last bull run, and such coins are the coin we should look into for diversification other than bitcoin.Bitcoin would still forever be the first choice when it comes to coins to a very great reward, but bitcoin is quite too expensive right now to be accumulated by an average income earner, and only those who already have massive wealth can invest in bitcoin alone and still have lots of millions of dollars to go home with in the next bull run, but for us, I think some alts like XRP, XLMR, and other will be quite great.
