Hello all of you, this is Nova Exchange Official speaking. As you might have heard by now, the previous owner of Nova Exchange begun a cotrolled shutdown of the exchange since the business was growing faster than him and his crew could keep up with.

At the same time he did look for new owners. There are many who want to get into the crypto game these days but very few are experienced enough for the task. Us, the new owners are experienced enough. About half of us have been working in the business 3 to 5 years. We have a few new faces since taking over Nova in late April and they are all fast learners.

Over the summer we have been working like crazy to re-start Nova, and when we do, we want to set a very high standard (adding the word "Standard" to our name is not a coincidence). The world of crypto is quite new, it is shaping itself as we move along, and we want to shape it, not get dragged along with it.

This means being, and staying, reliable. It means providing a service where the only surprises to hit the traders are sudden movement in the price of their favorite coin. Nothing else. No surprises.

SO! When do we open for new registrations?

We haven't set the date yet. Because when we do, we want you all to know that that date is set in real old fashioned stone. So, stay with us for that. We'll be there quite soon.

couple of weeks ago emailed support and was told that Nova has plan to reopen new registrations.  Would be cool if they come through with this plan.

It seems impossible to register new account on this exchange.

You can't at this time.  I would like to sign up over there too but i have jumped onto their home page from time to time and read over the news on what they are doing. it is a shame i cant stand some of the other exchanges high fees or high minimal trades. The only site that is worth trading on is tradesatoshi.com low fees and low transactions for altcoins and a decent trollbox over there.

how can i open new account in nova exchange ?

Apparently the owners are selling the exchange, and it will reopen with new owners in the future. Withdraw all your coins before the deadline.

Now they already announces they are going to shut down and closing all this so just because of this new registrations not working all coins holder can withdraw funds exchanges already not working few have 504 bad gateway message so don't try to register here better try with some other good reputable exchange

I can't still withdraw any ERC20 tokens from Nova. Wallet is under maintenance 1 month already. Isn't this too long for maintenance?

People are too ignorant and lazy to understand this. In most cases they prefer the convenience online wallet services and exchanges offer when it comes to storing coins. Their logic for leaving coins on whatever exchange is that they are then in a position to quickly dump their coins if needed. It's a twisted form of laziness, but one that eventually will cost them their coins -- at the end of the day, people only learn when things hit them in their wallet.


That's not a good idea either. Regardless of how strong your password is, when wallet files are stored online, they are exposed to unnecessary risks. Storing your wallet.dat files on several USB drives is a far better solution.

First rule of crypto, DO NOT KEEP YOUR COINS ON ANY F-ING ONLINE WALLET OR EXCHANGE!!! Have you ever heard of mount gox? Lite wallets are unsafe, trust the secret corporation stationed in london who took control of the once open source project called coinomi at your own risk, I do not. The only secure way no store your coins is cold storage where your and only you have the private keys, however, the absolute best solution is to store your coins on the actual wallet provided for the coin. Yes this requires downloading a huge blockchain, as well as needing to password protect your wallet with a strong password that you can remember. Also backup your .dat wallet file in a password protected .zip file. Email this to yourself!

Today I tried to log into novaexchange, for the first time, the orderbooks do not appear. I emailed support. Luckily I follow my own advice, I hope you do to. If you lost coins I am sorry, we can only learn from OUR own mistakes and do things better.

They are under constant attack. This is to be expected. Any exchange is going to be operating in an adversarial environment -- significant money is at stake, so hackers are always not far behind.

But unfortunately, there is no sign that anything will change. Nova is incompetent. They can't seem to address the attacks, so they continue to run in "Beta" while mass IP banning and shutting down registrations:


I'm going to keep saying it: Get your money off this exchange now before they disappear.
