ahh this news is astonishing,  I don't believe this at the first site. Anyway confirmed now,  but will there be a chance  to recover?
I did hear that they are going to reopen. But the ownership has been transferred with new partner along with share holders. So that means the old owners are no longer related and the owners has been changed. If you are trusted the old owner, this does not mean that you can trust the current owner. Just keep an eye on the exchange for a while and if everything seems smooth use it.

Honoured customers and crypto currency enthusiasts! You have been told a while ago now that we were planning to close down Nova Exchange in the beginning of 2018. We made this tough decision because Nova Exchange was growing at a speed, and in a way, that us, the founders, could not keep up with and run the business in a meaningful and secure way. Not wanting to make promises we might not be able to keep, we didn’t tell anyone, not anyone, that we never stopped looking for a way to keep going and keep Nova Exchange in business. So! We are so happy to announce that we have found a partner, a new main shareholder, willing and more importantly, able to carry on running Nova Exchange. The new owners, we have made sure, have the resources and the experience (6+ years in the business) it takes to provide excellent service to you all. We started negotiations and talks early in November last year, and now we can tell you the good news: The show will go on! More information will follow. In the meantime, just go keep on trading crypto. Best Wishes to you all!

i do not know it's a good thing or a bad thing,
but the fact is,
it's not the same person who will manage that site again in the future.
for now it is not a good time to choose it,at least until everything is concluded

This is bad. Their Trollbox seems to be still quite active.

Anyways, is every coin getting delisted then?

You can visit their website https://novaexchange.com/news/ and it's an official statement coming from them.

Anyone else received this email? I'm a long time Nova user and I didn't get one.

Have you checked your spam folder or your other folders on your email? Others that didn't even registered to them received this email and how come you as long time user of Nova didn't received it. Try to re-check it, maybe you just did missed it.

What was I thinking LOL. Sure thing, checked my spam folder and it was there. Cheers.

Nova exchange is shutting down its because this company has a new owners and managements to offered by next 2018. By this new owners and managements they promise a major upgrades to the exchange to the better handling scaling, stability and security.

A pity, really. Nova is far from being perfect but it's one of major shitcoin trading platforms...
They can't it anymore and no one is even willing to take over the exchange and in the end decisions has been given that they'll ending the business soon.

But I don't think people who are behind this exchange will just stop, they might start up a new exchange and will rebrand a new one but with the same platform.

Wow, never heard of that exchange and good thing I didn't. What happened to them? Hope users managed to get all their money out.
I didn't ever touched this exchange and now they are closing that was a really quick one. We may not know what's happening to the exchange but there's something wrong I guess.

Regards,
NovaExchange support team

Well something similar happened to me with a coin deposited in the exchanged, the exchange was hacked and i got back 10% of the amount, i suppose, thanks God that i didn't had a lot of that currency. Trust is important in the marketplace industry and when you publish such a mail either someone is scamming you, or they have been hacked. either way it is not good.

Sad to hear this news I always liked novaexchange but at least they are being transparent with their customers and giving ample heads up for people to withdraw! Gotta commend the effort and respect level that is there.

I also never used this exchanger but for me, this position deserves respect. We are constantly faced with fraud. When the exchanger before closing to warn users in advance that I really like. If ever they open again I will definitely be their client. It is a pity that decent people in this business will be less. Perhaps this niche will fill a fraud.

Poor Nova. I started by very first few Bitcoin trades with smaller exchanges Nova and Tradesatoshi. More experimental than anything else, since I was new at the time to altcoins. Found a new-ish ANN thread with what looked like a fun coin, discovered that it was PoS and was introduced to the idea of staking. So I got my first stash of several hundred coins from Nova, staked for months. My last login was in July, to sell off everything. In total a 300,000 satoshi investment returned me just over 0.02 BTC. My very first profit.

I know much better today than to risk trading large amounts of BTC, but we've got to appreciate all these smaller exchanges listing exotic coins. Hope the new management understands the importance of having actual developers on their support staff.
