We are in 2020 and we hope to see a good start of the market this year, this year we are hopeful that a bull run could come again due to many big events, one popular one for bitcoin is its halving and for altcoins, Libra launch?? i know some would disagree as they are against in Libra project.

But here's the question, if the market goes bullish and altcoins are pumping, do you think when there is an ICO, people are still going to invest?

personally I believe they will not because there an IEO already but I like to hear yours.
For ICO, i think if the question people still going to invest, there are some people who like to do it. Like they keep do investment although they lose, or maybe they really like some referral rewards although the project in market not really give good result. Some player who play investment sometime i still see join an ICO and promote it to get referrals.

I’m not sure if people have learned lessons about investing in something that they are not sure about because people have been scammed by those so-called ICO. Maybe when the reputable Facebook company Would push And be Successful in Libra, A lot Of people Would go And learn more about cryptocurrencies.

Maybe more people should make their new year's resolution to ”not get scammed.”

I'm not excited to see Libra coming around, this coin is already dead for some reason. And even the bullish will come, I doubt that investors will look if this coin if ever it successfully launches.

ICO is really popular when we go back to 2017, it was the biggest achievement of almost all ICO and investors are really profiting. But I think that was the last time we saw that scenario, people/investors are so keen on which project they feel good and right for their investment. And even bullish couldn't be a reason that they will rush into ICO. It is probably differentnow and for the coming years.

most likely, there are still many who will invest in ICO or IEO even though we suggest to stop doing that.
I hope Ethereum will stopped the erc20 token creation feature so that not many projects will appear easily. the root of the current problem is that it's easy to make tokens.

Maybe we should be more careful if we really want to invest in ICO / IEO. Choose indeed projects that are close to feasible for us to invest our money there. In the sense that they are truly transparent in all respects and really hold a large market for example. Regarding the smart contract ethereum is actually like two sides of a coin. On one hand there are positive things they have helped many new companies that issue tokens. This clearly has an impact on the familiar crypto in the world. the other side is true as you say there are too many scams here too. Maybe they should tighten up the rules for new tokens that want to use their platform.

Basednon my observation here in the forum ICO was already dead and IEO is the popular sice theres a lot of scam project during the popularity of ICO thats one reason why investor stay away from ICO project but still theres some ICO project that introduced in this forum site. Regarding to bitcoin I'm also hoping for a good run since we are near to 2020 halving and theres a lot of good news to bitcoin so Im expecting a big push.

Generally speaking, nope. But of course it is going to be a case to case basis as there might be projects with very strongly innovative products, realistic and useful objectives, and popular team that are interested to launch an ICO. They could still be successful in their ICO. But if you compare that to the previous years when ICOs everywhere raised a lot of money, it won't happen again.

Let's forget about Libra though. It will not launch in 2020.

ICO times are gone for good, unfortunately we had too many scams during its peak season. IEOs are the new thing but even though they usually bring "instant liquidity" (or something close to that) time has proven that this model is not the best one yet. Something like the concept proposed by Vitalik with the DAICOs would be the best shot in here, the only way to secure funds based on team achievements.

We do have some players that are trying that approach such as W12 or Kickico, but none have really succeeded so far. Let's see how the game is played during 2020, but decentralized funding is definitely here to stay, its just a question of time until we find the best methodology for it Smiley

This DAICOs I think might just work for it will provide risk free to investors. I would put my trust to a smart contract than a team that will just show an MVP and after getting the money will not even report what happen after a quarter while the price is -80% ico price. Hopefully a team must try it and if successful this will be the preferred crowdfunding model for the projects.

I am reasonably confident that we'll see a return to more bullish sentiment this year. Yes halving should have an effect, as should the move towards PoS for ETH.

As for ICOs and IEOs, I would imagine that IEOs will remain the preference due to the fact that they tend to be higher quality projects (or at least a lot of the rubbish and scams are pre-filtered out). However I can't see new projects doing well until we have seen evidence that market confidence is returning. I can't see 2017-style ICO-fever happening again this year.

I'm still positive in some top altcoins that they will be able to recover, but in terms of ICO and IEO, this two is already over. Much better if the projects will have a private crowd funding in terms of sourcing from known companies before they offer promote being crypto maybe about 70 or 80% done so there be less risk only for traders.

Currently crypto market is difficult to predict and some projects have not attracted new investors so this year we will still face a lot of big risks in investment. However, investing in IEO is probably the right choice for everyone because most well known IEO projects get special attention and the value of that coin tends to increase. Of course, 2020 will be very promising, but also needs to consider many times before making investment decisions.
