I think this is because of the users of youtube or the what we called youtubers that are making videos and content related to cryptocurrency that are trash so the youtube do an action to lessen it as soon as possible so youtube wants to eliminate those videos by flagging and removing it into the content.
Not necessary youtube don't want the bitcoin and cryptocurrency related videos it is just a matter of promoting or playing a scam and phishing projects or crypto related field. I want to know that this is not to down crypto related videos in youtube but to warned those person who are making trash videos under of it.

It could be that this is only rumors/bad news that was created by several communities that are in contradiction with cryptocurrency I guess. because I see up to now,  the content creators about crypto have no problems there is even a crypto influencer who does live streaming on youtube between Developer, expert analysis to discussing the development of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin price.

this is being warmly discussed and I'm just saying that there might be an error deleting the channel, if I could appeal I don't think it's a problem with the channel about crypto, my channel is still fairly safe at this time, if indeed they want to delete all YouTube content about crypto it should be more many of these channels, but not all of them, mistakes from YouTube if there are no errors and it was intentional because of the new regulations well must be obeyed, I think there is no time to debate this issue we look back before Facebook and others prohibit anything about crypto but look now they make their own crypto, this is a usual stupidity drama and I always say it repeatedly about the drama of big companies on the internet, so let's just look at 2020 - 2021 it scares a lot of people  Grin

I think, YouTube is getting tighter every day to filter their videos. really disappointing, but in this context they have policies that seem to be respected as well. but actually in crypto videos it would be better to be given an age limit, rather than immediately deleted by YouTube

I also don't believe in that. I haven't seen the news about YouTube that will implement crypto inside, I see YouTube currently doesn't do anything about crypto, so maybe it's a lot of FUD news that is scattered out there.
Maybe a lot of ponzi schema content on youtube so some say that youtube will adopt crypto.

Up to now, there is no concrete reason why youtube should adopt to cryptocurrency as well. They already have their payment system functioning very and there's also no concrete reason why they need to remove some cryptocurrency related videos as well. When they do it so, people especially content creators that focused on creating crypto related content will lose interest to their site and will try to find other sites, resulting to them losing adopters and might be considered not beneficial for them in the first place.

I am still seeing bitcoin-related videos as of now. I think Youtube is removing those who are not reported videos only. Or the one's who are promoting ponzi/scam videos that will not be a great help to the youtube viewers. Youtube will not remove just "any" video that they feel to remove but they will make a strong review before doing so.

Here's one strong reason why YouTube usually delete such videos;

This content is for help with videos that have been removed from YouTube. If you need help taking down a video, learn how to delete your own videos or flag inappropriate content.

I understand that the purpose of google is to block related videos from introducing Crypto wallets and exchange services to viewers, it can be a financial risk to the viewer. This could be a move to protect users after many cryptocurrency scams.

Bitcoin is free-market money much like YouTube is user-generated content. As long as you are providing quality content for your viewers there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

If you are promoting scams or even gambling websites there is a chance that YouTube will take you down purely because gambling, betting, etc is against YouTube TOS.

Focus on creating fun, quality content and you won't have anything to worry about - no matter the niche.

Some prominent cryptocurrency channels on Youtube have seen their videos removed today. It’s unclear how many major channels have been affected thus far, but three have been confirmed.

Could YouTube be cracking down on cryptocurrency-related videos? According to recent reports, such an operation is going on as we speak. Three prominent YouTube channels specializing in cryptocurrencies report that they have been subject to content-flagging today. The move was completely unexpected and has left many in the blockchain space wondering if this may be the beginning of a bigger operation.

Should I move away from YouTube?

I just don't know what to believe, but I honestly think that YouTube isn't gonna doing this by surprise. If they do flag YouTube videos about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they should have updated their terms and conditions, and their rules about uploading content.

In the article, it also mentioned that there are a group of mass flaggers who might be behind this mess, especially for top crypto influencers out there. There are even cases that after appealing, YouTube reinstated their accounts because of false flagging.

What does this mean for crypto YouTubers like me? If I decide to move to another video sharing platform, I would prefer decentralised and censor-free type of platform.

What are your reactions to this one guys?

I think most of deleted video are related to scam/ ponzi or fake views which violent youtube policies. Many crypto videos still remain in Youtube and i think that there is nothing to worry about.

you better start moving now and dont wait for your videos to get deleted unless you still have a back up with them but why the heck will they remove crypto content if its not copy righted anyway  ? as long as its your original video it should be fine i guess  .  removing of videos on youtube does commonly happen and it does happen to me before not only on crypto related videos   . the video was also mine originally created and uploaded but i didnt properly put tags and other stuffs like what i see on other profesionally made videos  .

if seen from the positive side, maybe the YouTuber uses vulgar or scam content. so someone reported them, and finally they were deleted. even if they don't do that, maybe a big operation about cryptocurrency will be done ... !!

Maybe they are cracking down channels that promotes pyramid scheme or some sort? because last time I checked the videos regarding bitcoin and some that are for educational purpose still exist with millions of views. If that's the case then it's nothing to worry about and Instead that'd be in my favour. Though, that's the disadvantage of using a centralized service, they just have the authority over literally anything.

In my opinion it's still safe to make content about bitcoin and cryptocurrency on youtube. Because there is no official news released by youtube
until now that forbids creating cryptocurrency content. And after I checked some Youtubers who used to discuss cryptocurrency still safe and no
one has deleted their videos from youtube. In my opinion the article is misleading and the source is also less reliable. In my opinion do not rush
to move the platform to another place, because the audience is not necessarily as much youtube. And try to think calmly and do more
investigations regarding this matter. Don't rush to conclude that YouTube is flagging cryptocurrency. Don't be affected by only from just one news
source.

Hmm this is suspicious and true what you say, YouTube or Google will not do a surprising thing like this without changing their policies and privacy. I just suspect the communities that oppose crypto are behind it all, they want to gag the channels that discuss cryptocurrency, yeah I'm very sure of that.

They already have their policies written in a pretty vague way that allows them to interpret it the way they want.

If we reasonably believe that any Content violates this Agreement or may harm YouTube, our users or third parties, we may remove some or all of such Content.

So if they decide based on their knowledge that something is harmful to a group of people they can remove it. So, if they decide you're talking about an investment that can lead to a loss of money by some Bitcoin users they can remove the content. This basically allows them to do what they want. This is a problem with terms of service of Internet companies. You agree to them being able to do whatever they want with your account for whatever reason.

I think it's too early to think about moving to other platforms.Yet such a large audience as on YouTube is not anywhere. But we still need to think about alternate airfields.Personally, I have a channel on YouTube and it is associated with crypto.I didn't find any deletions of my videos.

I think this is already a thing in youtube since the youtube platform was earning a revenue in this kind advertisement,

I don't have any information about youtube but I don't think that youtube is reviewing the company they are advertising in youtube since it was a company I don't they could easily know if the cryptocurrency company was not legit, also they cryptocurrency related videos or cryptocurrency websites are already in youtube for a long time.

Youtube is not so bad. Have your tried IG??? You can get a block for listing to music in the background of your video. It happened to someone I know and she had less than 1000 followers and like 3 people watching.
That's being a bully. I don't think youtube is quite like that. It sounds like a group of people with altered motives to try to pull down legit youtube videos for some reason. Maybe to be assholes or maybe they competition.
I have never know youtube to be pro-censorship and stuff like this so I can say I confidently believe this is not a crackdown but rather a group of people with some motive behind it.

If this is real, that's very unfair of YouTube. But I don't think it's true since various contents can be found in YouTube and I don't think they'll specifically target cryptocurrency related videos. If ever YouTube will do that, they'll notify users and crypto channels of course. YT hasn't done any move against crypto so I doubt it. Maybe someone just reporting some crypto videos? That's more possible.

I also don't believe in that. I haven't seen the news about YouTube that will implement crypto inside, I see YouTube currently doesn't do anything about crypto, so maybe it's a lot of FUD news that is scattered out there.

Yesterday I even found a validated Ripple account with thousands of bots following and commenting at live-chat.
Most of the comments on Youtube might as well be made by bots anyway.  How many times can people write "who's watching this in [insert current month/year here]?" without it getting really, really stale.

I'm not sure if these are scam videos that are getting deleted, but the folks at Youtube probably don't know the difference or don't care, but it would suck if legit videos were taken down just because they're about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.  I already can't stand Youtube's policy of silencing the more right-wing content, i.e., anti-feminism and other videos with those viewpoints.  It isn't that I always agree with the opinions, but I don't care for the censorship at all.

And man, there have been some great crypto vids I've seen, especially about mining and other topics that I don't have a lot of knowledge about.  I bet that most of them won't be touched, because there's so many of them and most are obviously not promoting scams.  Hopefully that'll be the case, anyway.
