Yes, info can be used to cast doubt about your credentials in the far future. It doesn't matter if it is true or not, info can be twisted to suit anyone's opinion and view. If you have nothing to hide that's good for you, but that is not the point point of privacy.

Good luck in the future when the USG has decided you're a potential threat because you might have said some unsavoury things on the internet and they're tracking all Bitcoin payments so when you receive a Bitcoin that might or might not have passed through somebody who might or might not be in contact with somebody who might or might not be a "terrorist" then you can cry about it when you're in Guantanamo Bay and held there without charge for ten years. I guess holding people without charge for ten years is just a conspiracy theory too though, right? It was just a conspiracy theory that the NSA had backdoor access to emails and messages of social networks. I might not be wearing a tinfoil hat but you've got blinders on your eyes and your head in the sand and are exactly the type of people who do nothing when stuff like mass surveillance happens.

You should know that the government are people like all of us,some are greedy and corrupt,some are honest,just like normal people. Believing everyone wants to steal from you wont get you far... but also 100% trusting in the government can be bad.
