I must agree, It is unfortunate I have no programming expertise to help you wish, i can barely write a VB script without copy and pasting it.  I am more of a hardware guy as i work on servers and networks primarily for a living.

I do agree with re-branding that logo although i hope that is not too close to the worldcoin logo as imo it is strikingly similar... it will not only help with those other markets, but for people why think the logo is to.... adult ha. I've been mining at a slow pace of 2k /day with the difficulty increase!

OK.. I'm paying that out right now... And sorry guys, things are getting hectic.. The new client just passed test six, so we are looking good. An angel is curious about SXC. I can get the block explorer up, but Lava isn't papering over the desync issue by refusing litecoin connections, he's changeing the magic number with a hardfork.. ABE won't like that, but it should be theoritically possible to manually change abe to accept the block chain after the fork. I think wedge is looking at playing with an android app. We've got people promoting us in various places outside of the community and I want to support them.. Fendle is MIA, but he's developing a real world business, so he's probably time poor too..

The long of the short of it is, I'm putting the brakes on the Zombie bonus for now, .. as usual, if the pool stutters we'll look after our miners. Once things calm down It'll probably rise from the grave yet again..

Take all the time you need, you guys are great doing your magic slow but steady.
I am looking forward to the day when 10SXC=$1. Not as a spike, as a steady price. And I am confident this day is not far away.
I am relatively new to the altcoins, got a modest 180KH card, pointed it at lavapit and kept it there. My tiny holdings were split between SXC and XPM, both have done me quite well.
I don't understand why many people fail to see the potential of SXC, for me it was like screaming in my face "Mine me, Buy me, Accumulate and Hold and you won't regret it". Smiley

Can any of the devs contact coinmarketcap.com and have SXC listed there? I think they usually need a block explorer from where they get the data, and Cryptsy price points should do. Seems like a lot of new money is getting into the crypto-currency space looking for opportunities at coinmarketcap. SXC should definitely be listed there too, IMHO.

I'm well aware of this and brought it to the attention of Lava.. When we were running ABE 0.7 we had full stats on our block explorer, but if you check it now we are running 0.8 and some stats aren't given, like total coins created. I've reiterated our concerns in a private message, but we have to consider that will most people find running pools cuts into their time, Lava is running pools, a faucet, the blockexplorer and has been coding a new client which I'm solo mining on the moment as part of testing. I do have ABE 0.7 on one rig, but the long of the short of it is I can't run servers without getting a public IP, and if I did my bandwith would make any traffic a nightmare.

So I guess the long of the short of it is, we'll get it done ASAP. I'll check with lava and if ABE's API's are fully functional, get us on pronto.. Otherwise it's in the que, with a high proirity but behind the new client release.

That's great to hear! I just wanted to inform you if you missed the whole coinmarketcap thing somehow. The coins there have done crazy. Megacoin had like what a 40x jump in about 5 days.
I know lava is doing a great job and SXC faucet remains one of the last real surviving altcoin faucets out there. I've seen too many of them go dry or just shut down.

Problem Solved !

I'm setting up rig 4 as a remote server running abe 0.7. The connection does not have a static IP yet.. I should be up and running in 48-72 hours, then I'll request to be listed on coinmarket cap...

Something funky is going on with the fountain...

It ran out of cash.

I've also just now implemented an extremely aggressive algorithm for the proxy detection. I'm certain its going to yield false positives, so please let me know the ip address you are connecting from if it is blocking you out unfairly. I will be relaxing the constraints over the week to try and hit the 'sweet spot'.

You can PM the address, no need to post it here.

A real issue I'm having with the faucet is that people are connecting through TOR. I support TOR wholeheartedly, but it effectively does the same thing as proxy as far as the faucet. I don't want to block the traffic, but I cannot find a workable solution for this one. If anyone has some suggestions, or can point me to some solution, I'm all ears.

I am very grateful to the SXC community for their support & trust, regarding me as a person, as well as the site I own.

Your PM was heartwarming, and I have sent you a reply Smiley

I'm cooking up some special promotion for payments made by SXC users, but still figuring out the details as we speak.

I realize that most of the sites accepting SXC are somewhat adult oriented , but diversity never hurts i guess Smiley

As always, your input is greatly appreciated and welcomed Smiley

Who's going to be the third SXC customer? Smiley

Ok here goes one of our secrets.. We can't be promoted on the chinese market because adult material is illegal, and while SXC isn't illegal, it might be frowned upon by the miinistry of culture ..

Solution... Rebrand a client specifically for the chinese market... SXC without the Sex, and we'll need non nadult sites accepting it to help it along.. Wink

I've fiddled with a new logo, but we are still hashing out the details.. such as the name.. heres a sneak peek ...

Very rough, but good to get a feel of the direction we want that brand to take..

First Thing .. Sorry guys. was a little sleep deprived and things got a little weird .. well I got a little weird anyway...

and the second SXC order has also been completed! great doing business with you all Smiley

It does however seem that CoinPayments made erroneous calculations, so i'm working on getting that resolved Smiley SXC is still available as a payment method though, so keep purchasing! Smiley

We are doing it hard as devs, with no premine or instamine to work with ... But I think a little bounty is in order, to pad out that wallet a little and make sure SXC does right by you.

What would be great is, we (I) was supposed to be organising banners for our merchants so we could give them a little free advertising at places like the faucet. A banner or permission to create a banner on your behalf would be good. Of course, the banner shouldn't feature any other crypto on it.. They are the competition Wink

Ok, I'll dust off that wallet and get going... And thanks for sharing, we've always wanted commerce to be the backbone of SXC, so it gladdens the heart to know it's moving in the right direction...

I'm proud to announce the first ever SXC transaction on http://www.cryptogamekeys.com has been completed!

A buyer purchased Command & Conquer : Ultimate Edition , paid with SXC, I've just e-mailed the cd key.

Glad to be of use to the SXC community!

If there are any bounties for accepting SXC on my shop, they can be sent to S3Ji6EZur67X5Tq9zgHmdF549nDBrbrA9C  Smiley

There is a number of things we need coded, and we are getting a list together.

However, there is one quite pressing piece that we need, so I'm going to throw it out there for any Python coders, or anyone that wants to implement a block explorer in whatever language.

The current block explorer I have up is based on the github's 'Abe' project. This next client will not play nice with Abe because Abe relies on the 'magic number' to differentiate chains. Because of how I had to fix the magic number, we will essentially have two for anyone downloading a new blockchain, or setting up a new block explorer. Abe has no way of switching a magic number at a certain block height. There are manual ways I know of to get the block explorer running after the switch, but it would be great if we had an implementation that did it the right way. I'm short on time and not very good at Python.

I'm more than willing to tar up my installation, so you won't have to fight through the setup yourself. Once caveat is that I'm a postgreSQL guy, so I've converted the db calls to postgres.

This is a "Heads-Up" announcement.

One feature that's been filling up my PM's recently is the In-Client Cam-Chat feature.
My answer is 'Yes'. I have the architecture laid out, and will begin work on 'proof-of-concept' code as soon as this hard-fork is out of the way.
Also in the works is a 'plug-in' architecture.
And there is even more than that.

Also, this is a call for coders. Python, Android, iCrap, C++, or simply your favoite. I'm going to post a list soon of the stuff we'd love to see built.

Again, Head's UP! Thank you all for your support and patience!

the importance of partnership with the industry is very important, in particular if it includes discounts when using the coin. I bet the industry would want using the coin as a marketing tool. The in client chat would be a teaser. Are you in touch with the major players? They may want advertisement on the client as well. Lets not try to duplicate BTC. This is a special coin built and to be used by a specific industry.

As help with coding, haven't done C/C++ for 10 years or so, mostly c# lately and database related. If you see a need for my skills please PM me. I would be open for testing as well
