Finally I succedeed with P106-100 and 388.13 Nvidia drivers and nvidia-smi -dm 0. nvidiainspector is working now! Interesting that 388.77 drivers gave error 43 after nvidia-smi -dm 0 and restart.

You can try test my open source NVAPI overclock tool. It is inspired / reverse engineered code from NVIDIA Inspector.

Any chance you can help me with setting up my .bat bile?

MSI Afterburner 4.6.0 Beta 10 can undervolt gpu core to 700 mV. But I have hashrate drops when lowering voltage P104 below 850mv. Same settings 1506core/ +700mem,  850mv 40mh/s, 800mv and lower drops to 35-37mh/s. This issue happens only with gigabyte p104, msi works fine. Any ideas what happens?

found the issue, tried 391 driver and got SMI to work properly. Going to try updating from that driver see what happens.

Edit: updated driver and back to same old thing. WDDM not working. Assuming somethings going on with newer Nvidia drivers. Going to try older 400 series driver next see what happens.

Edit #2: Seems 399 is working for SMI. for P104-100 I haven't seen any difference in wattage using Inspector vs MSIafterburner. at best 3 watts maybe?
Can confirm that drivers 399.07 and WDDM mode has made Inspector see P104-100. I managed to lower each card for about -15watts compared to Afterburner. Most cards work at 700 mV.
Unfortinately, a lot of miners: T-Rex, CryptoDredge (coins with x16r algo and others), ccminer (ZCoin) work better with latest Nvidia drivers.

Glad to help! However I noticed serious hashrate drops when lowering voltage using Nvinspector around 1500-1600mhz is needed to achieve full hashrate with P104's. I've had mine Overclocked to +800 on memory +150 core @70% power on MSI afterburner. They're doing about 40-40.5mh/s @ 125w

P106s will more likely be different. Those should do about 65w-70w on ETH-hash.

actually switching the driver to WDDM mode is not needed to control GPU voltages and clocks, it's a bug in nvidiaInspector.

if someone has its source code then it would be fairly easy to fix.

AFAIK you can set voltage for the P2 state using NVAPI https://docs.nvidia.com/gameworks/content/gameworkslibrary/coresdk/nvapi/structNV__GPU__PSTATE20__BASE__VOLTAGE__ENTRY__V1.html
...
NvAPI_GPU_SetPstates20

BTW 440W is for 6 or 8 cards rig? For 6 cards that is still unnecessary high Smiley

I have tested many versions of Nvidia drivers, only 382.53 can work with Nvidia profile inspector on P106-100......with other drivers the Nvidia profile inspector can not even recognize any P106 card
Unfortunately latest miners, such as CryptoDredge, T-Rex work only with latest drivers. There is no problem to use MSI Afterburner, only downvolting is limited to 800 mV.

Can anybody confirm NVIDIA inspector is incompitable with P106-100 CARDS ?
I can confirm that it works fine with P102/P104/P106 cards in WDDM mode with any recent driver version.
When you use WDDM mode don't your cards become with 43 errors? When I switch the driver from TCC to WDDM (nvidia-smi -dm 0) all my cards become with 43 error. When I disable driver signature verification it doesn't help. So I consider p102/104/106 don't work with NvidiaInspector.
nope.
Is your mining system WIndows 10 LTSB with latest Nvidia drivers? Do you use internal graphics or 1066 as primary? I see you have not only p104 but 1066 also, maybe here is the sollution for me. I'll try as soon as I can to put one 1066 to the p106 rig to test. I'm trying to make p106 to work with ispector because consumption will be about 10-15 watts lower per card.
Windows 10 x64 1709. currently on 416.34 drivers, I've used all drivers from 384.xx and up and they all work fine with Pxxx cards, except P102-100s - if you want to use them with latest drivers then you need to patch the driver inf file and disable signature verification. not needed for P104s and P106s.

regarding 1066 - that's just one rig with one regular GPU. I always use Intel iGPU as primary. I have several rigs with only P102/P104/P106 cards on H110 Pro BTC+ and B250 Mining Expert MB's and I've never seen anything like the issue you are describing here. just switching the cards to WDDM mode and rebooting always worked for me.

I'm suffering the same issue. Got a P104-100 card and whenever I enable the WDDM mode I get Error code 43 as well with latest Nvidia 417 drivers. I have it hooked-up to a H110 Pro BTC+ and using intel iGPU. I tried both Forcing it and just regular, either way going to WDDM mode from TCC mode and doing a reboot gives me an erro 43 in Windows.

I tried to use nvidia-smi -dm 0 and one of my cards become with 43 error, I changed again it to working state with command nvidia-smi -dm 1. I continue to use both nvidiainspector (650-700 mV for GTX1060 3 GB) and MSI Afterburner (PL 65 for P106-100) to undervolt my cards and there is no problem.

I have a GTX1060 6GB rig that I use with Nvidia profile Inspector because I can run it at only ~440watt.

I have a P106-100 rig now, but when I run the .bat file, nothing happens. I get the same hashrate.

I'm running with AB at ~500w. I know you can shave off 10w per card with inspector.

Are these cards incompatable with Nvidia inspector ?

put one more power supply unit or use for downvolting program msi afterburner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOdfA9QVMKg
