What miner/mining software is used to mine Skein coins?

did you even read the whole thread? Cheesy
basically you can use every miner nowadays, but its pointless since skein is ASIC-area

What miner/mining software is used to mine Skein coins?

Baikal ASIC miners.

Please don't necro threads about GPU mining of coins where ASIC miners have existed for them for many months or years.

What miner/mining software is used to mine Skein coins?
For nVidia cards Alexis78's version of ccminer is still the fastest one as far as I know for Skein. For AMD, no idea, unless you've got a private kernel you'd probably be best not going for that algo.

What is the approximate speed for 1060 and which miner is better to use?

Don't bother, it's Baikalminer area...

Thanks for the answer. What is the rapid progress of Lake Baikal.

It was a valid question when the OP posted it, but it's been outdated a few months now.

zpool.ca has a skein option, shows 4 coins (DGB-skein, Myriad-skein, I forget the other 2 offhand but one of them apparently is merge-mined).
theblockspool has a DGB-skein pool.
suprnova has DGB pools but I'm not sure if skein is one of the options (I know they have a DGB-scrypt pool that works fairly well and a DGB-groetsl pool that didn't work very well).

nvidia is far better a 1080ti can do $350 a month on skein algo, no amd card can do that much on skein, and i bet amd is bad on other good algo like lbry and x17 or blake2s
I mining 2 1070 on nicehash. I not see skein algo. Where are you mining at Huh

I can't find much on this Skein algo.  What coins use it?

only two coins at the moment, digibyte and aurora, you can mine with good profit on yiimp, which have a good hashrate

Thanks everyone! this is the info I've been trying to research but there just isn't enough on it to find any worthwhile results to gauge what's best on skein. I don't know if 1080ti is in my price range, but you seem to be getting very good ROI, so I might consider just shelling out the extra $200. But what would be the most cost effective GPU? Hashrate to power? I was thinking something like a 1060 or 1070 just based off of what I can see on yiimp.
now that i think about it low 900kh to -200w is pretty damn cost effective...  Shocked

you can do 950 220 watt, i think it can be pushed higher also, with some oc tweaking

1080ti can do $350 a month on skein algo

exactly Smiley 1070 is on +- half of that ... i dont think you can compare the best amd gpu today 4xx/5xx with anything from 1070 to 1080ti

I can do 920 with a nvidia 1080ti  and use under 200 watts

whichone do you have? im "only" on +-880 on my asus ti fe (73% tdp +197core -300mems) and +-500 with each 1070s (75%tdp +212core -300mems) ... 1,87GH/s total now for about 460w total

the aorus  with 3 fans does low 900's stable

Damn I missed the boat! Current earnings are a little bit more than 30% lower than last month then. I've been tracking earnings by the hour and daily/monthly is definitely down >30% Sad Still good so can't really complain... wait... I'm going to complain anyways Smiley

I've been trying to dig into the matter since I started mining with my 970ftw about a month ago. I can't seem to find a hash rate chart for AMD cards anywhere, but I've found one for Nvidia cards over at yiimp.ccminer.org but they just don't supply charts for AMD which made me question whether AMD cards aren't very popular for the Skein algo. I'm in the market for another GPU for skein mining and have been strongly considering a 1080ftw but I'm open to AMD cards if they are just as good for mining this algo. Any input and info would be awesome!

No one has ever shown me an amd skein mining.

So I don't know.

I do know this   nvidia is better at zec then amd is.

and if you mine skein with nvidia  you make a little more then you do with  zec.

Based on that I suspect nvidia 1080 ti's on skein  are tops at the moment.

I can do   920 with a nvidia 1080 ti  and use under 200 watts

AMD, would be an better option for mining, mostly on every coin, because of a hash rate. NVidia cards are better only for gaming industry Cheesy
