It's our hope that once you have researched our community and technology, you will join the movement and help us spread the word about Nxt.

This draft is better, but that particular sentence sounds ridiculously immature.

"Yeah, Jenny, call the NBA, tell them I can't make it tonight, I am gonna, uhm... research this community and, uhm... technology and then I am gonna, uhm... join The Movement and start twitting about it like crazy. Maybe order some billboards for them."

Smiley

Busy famous people like to know why they're being contacted and what we're hoping to get from them. This sentence shows that we want nothing more than his goodwill and perhaps a public endorsement. I.e. we aren't trying to get financial support from him, manipulate him, or call in favors at a later date. Maybe it could be reworded, but this message needs to be conveyed. I also wanted to indicate that we aren't naive enough to think he'll jump in without researching first. I'm sure he researches all his investments very carefully.

Nice, I got only to the Turkey part.
Technically, in English that would be "blah", and is typically said three times:  blah, blah blah.

I really don't believe you are our thief, salsacz.  You have proven yourself again and again to be an important and valued part of our NXT family.
they do this, they even create accounts with your name... I remember once they even created a song about me and post it on Youtube

I've been following Nxt for a little while, although it's hard to keep up with this thread!  This is my first post.

I've seen several questions and efforts at characterizing aspects of the blockchain.  I've been doing some exploratory analysis and have several plots to share.  I've posted what I've done so far here:

http://brosephus.github.io/nxt-explore/

I've learned a lot and hope this might be useful for others.  I'm happy to look into anything that might be of interest to anyone.

In that analysis you write:

Quote
The transaction history begins with a strange transaction:

##     recipient               sender amount fee
## 1 78880408059 11541844302056663007  1e+06 100

I have no idea what this is. This transaction is followed by 73 transactions to 73 unique accounts for a total of 1 billion Nxt, which we all know about. The sender for these transactions is 1739068987193023818, the "genesis" account that we'll look at a bit more in a moment.

Actually that transaction is not the first transaction. The genesis transactions occured 1 second before that transaction. One of the stakeholders immediately transferred 1 million coins from his genesis account (11541844302056663007) to the account 78880408059.

I think the message of Nxt needs to be focused on one thing and that is Transparent Forging and how that will enable Nxt to handle 1000+ TPS.
Beyoncé says after this we will let everyone behind. The question is - WHEN should be use this JACKPOT. Sooner or later?

Nice, I got only to the Turkey part. There is one more thing you don't know, a giveaway cheater also sent me a little "message", once he sent me 1 Nxt, as a joking sign. Are they related? Maybe. Will it help with anything? No

I just realized, it's not trying to frame Salsa, it's trying to challenge him! (Again, speculative. But it makes so much sense to me!)

+1.
That's how it looks to me, too.  There is something going on here beyond just a heist, and it has been that way for weeks.  Somebody is trying to get brownie points for being clever.

Guys,

Is it possible to earn NXT coins by playing a mobile game on your smartphone by forging? Instead of in-game fake coins

Maybe it is an idea. Mobile games are growing fast.

So far everywhere I mention Nxt there is a BIG sentiment against it, because the entire coin supply was distributed for 21 BTC, And I can certainly understand them, because it does have a negative image. What do you guys usually say about this?

Quote
Q:  How would you solve problem with scam accusations according to "unfair" distribution Nxt to 73 big stakeholders?
BCNext: “This problem can not be solved.  Even if we had a million stakeholders the rest seven billion people would call this unfair.  A world with the money can not be perfect.”

True, but wouldn't people call it unfair ALOT less if there were more stakeholders? The less stakeholders there are the more people call it unfair and a scam, which decreases the adoption rate.

Quote
Why was the launch of Nxt speeded?

Come-from-Beyond: „BCNext explained why he speeded up the launch. He wants the stake holders to make all important decisions“.[1]
BCNext: “I wanted Nxt to be launched by the community, not by a single person.  Success of Nxt is supposed to be achieved by work of a LOT of PEOPLE.”[2]

Wait ... what? Are you saying BCNext wants the original stakeholders to make all the important decisions or people who own Nxt in general? The former would mean that Nxt fate should be decided by a select few, the latter would mean that decisions will be made by the entire community (which makes sense), but why is the logical conclusion from that to shorten the IPO and only take 21 BTC? Wouldn't it make more sense to have way more original stakeholders so more people in the community have the power to help and distribute or give away coins? I just don't understand why the IPO was rushed like this.

Sorry if this has been asked before, and I don't want to attack Nxt, just want to know what you guys have to say about this.

Just tell them - IPO was 61 days long. During 61 days could join Nxt 1000 or 10.000 people. It was a very long time.

Hey Everyone!

Update #1 from the Bitcoin Conference in Miami!

I just spoke with James and Josh from Cryp2cash.com about adding Nxt to their offering. They appear very interested with our dev team working with them to make it happen. They currently offer BTC, LTC, PPC, NMC, and FTC.

What they do is similar to localbitcoin.com with their escrow service, but they work with a debit card provider to offer instant transactions. This would allow us to get Nxt in the hand of everyday people, which I think is a huge deal.

****ACTION NEEDED****

If I could get one of the devs to PM me, I would like to work out a meeting so we could get the ball rolling.

I will update later with more news as it happens.

PIC OF A HAPPY GUY!

Awesome!

With mixed case? Can we really dismiss it so easily?

If we take 5 words with uniform case out of 171,476 words in current use (according to The Second Edition of the 20-volume Oxford English Dictionary) that's 1.4825752e+26. Not bad.

I've wrote die existing information about the POW-Coin which Come-from-Beyond created on top of Nxt - Lakshmi [LAK] - in my Blog today (sorry German):

Why? So someone could steal the idea? Cheesy

lol.... It isn't.

Other than that, i feel like this is appearing far too often for it to be random.
5xxk NXT stolen
108k NXT stolen
12,5k NXT stolen

All have the same pattern (thus being not related to EpicThomas)

Before we go into panic modes, wasn't the red line of them all that they used passwords that weren't really strong?
