Thanks

10 NXT sent, went through very quickly.  As did similar 10 NXT donations from me to three people over on the Raspberry Pi forum who are running nodes now.

What idea are you talking about? 100% proof of stake?
Yep. That's grab my attention immidiately. Not intrested in PoW-base cryptos from now. Nxt or other, I'm sticking with new generation.

And for your information, I'm not sitting on the sidelines, I have a little invested, and would want to invest more, but at this point it's pure speculation.
Ofcourse, it is. Dunno how much of trades done with short-time speculative purpose. May be very high rate. And what do you expect at cryptoworld?

Despite its innovation (which is yet to be seen/proven) if the coins remain undistributed and at a 500-600,000% price premium to original $4,000 invested, then we will see lots of panic. Can't wait for that. Getting the popcorn ready.

Post ur Nxt account and I'll send u some coins, so u could buy more popcorn.

Same here! I offered earlier!

My nxt faucet now gives out between 1 and 3 coins freely (the amount is determined at random) - the increase is due to several donations received. Thank you to those people!

Life masters(-lomasters)  Roll Eyes For that kind of idea (and timing) 6kx for origin price not so suprising, I'm expecting much more in long term.

What idea are you talking about? 100% proof of stake? Peercoin will be 99-100% proof of stake too down the road, it's just they wanted to have a better distribution system. And Peercoin is open source and proven technology. Really, 6kx the price?

Colored coins? Distributed Exchange? These things haven't even been developed yet, or let alone will they work in practice. If they worked right out of the box, and it was open source, then I could see paying 6kx the value.

And for your information, I'm not sitting on the sidelines, I have a little invested, and would want to invest more, but at this point it's pure speculation.

Someone at some point post a cron job to restart the Java process, does anyone know where that went. I for the life of me, can't find it.

By the way, I think someone already is trying to create a clone of NXT, I saw a link, and he is collecting funds now. Why not participate in that project to get huge rewards? Where is that link... someone can find it?

It's called VisaCoin(lol?)...seems so fishy...but I am following it now.

I think yuriygeorge needs to become stakeholder in VisaCoin and get his 600 000%, what do you guys think? Smiley

here I found the link:

But oh no, the greedy founders! Giving away $10,000+ (at current market prices).
This is an invalid argument. Without adoption your coins holds zero value.
Agree on that. It's very complex system of value as I can recall.

Ideas are great but the innovative ones haven't even been developed yet, let alone will they work in practice.

Peercoin is eventually gonna become 99% proof of stake. It's the proof of work there that was in place to ensure a distribution system where anyone can get involved with mining for a couple of years.

This claims to be 100% initial proof of stake, and everyone gets the coins, but how the hell are you gonna distribute these? The excuse, oh they put in a lot of risk ($4,000 by 73 people is not alot of risk).

Whatever greed is going to kill this coin.

A lot has been distributed, when I started looking into NXT I saw at least some of the initial founders sold a huge chunk when prices were going for 0.1 BTC / 100k. Some are just sitting on all their coins, however.

One valid criticism is that the initial distribution could have been improved. 73 founders was too little in my opinion, would have liked to see at least 300 - but I guess it was difficult to get people on board at the time.

No one else wanted to contribute Sad

The thing I hate about PoW is the way it works which is why I mostly invest in coins in hopes of future gains (just like any investment). As I stated before, I was in DOGE from the real early days and gained a massive 30k DOGE after 2 full days of mining while others gained millions of coins. Its what happens to the people that don't have a mining rig, and mine on their home computer or use an Nvidia Card.

There is always a point of investment somewhere in the line. Remember TINSTAAFL (There is No Such Thing As a Free Lunch).

I guess some are interested in making a killing, others are also interested in a legit/open/transparent/efficient currency system that is superior or at least adds competition to our current currency system today. Despite its innovation (which is yet to be seen/proven) if the coins remain undistributed and at a 500-600,000% price premium to original $4,000 invested, then we will see lots of panic. Can I sum up the last pages of rants as: "IT'S NOT FAIR! WAAAAH!"?

Nobody is forcing you to buy it. So don't.

I invested halfway and am sorry to not have been a part earlier because, yes, I'd have made big winnings.

I didn't and nothing is going to change that. So my profits (if I dumped now) will always be lower than the early birds. Tough shit.

Suck it up and go do trading on an exchange. Plenty of room to earn some money there.

But, OH NO, that means taking a risk and investing!

Maybe you should just stick to putting your money in the bank and getting some interest.
