I assume, ability to stay up to date while connecting to many peers. What about timing out these dead peers? Wouldn't that benefit in fighting the zombies?

I have no insights at the moment. Right now, I'm getting all nodes deployed and the code to manage them. Phase two is gathering the metrics and checks in place to understand what's really going on.

He doesn't need sites. Everything can be hosted on the blockchain. (This is not implemented yet though)

Serious gaming site cannot be hosted in the blockchain. It would be too much of a burden. The share that represents the gambling could be listed and traded in the asset exchange though.
We also need an secure forum to host social contracts for the newly issued shares and assets.

If u set "pushThreshold" above zero it will be faster, but less nodes will see ur transaction. U can set it to 100000 to send transactions (and blocks) only to nodes hallmarked with big accounts.

Edit: U should use deadline >= 24h, just rebroadcast transactions lost in limbo (broadcastTransaction API call).

How to vote? The vote in Nxt has some deadline parameter? So who decide the deadline?

The person who places a poll decides what to write and what deadline is (linked to block number). Main purpose of Voting System is to help asset holders to come to a consensus, but we can use it to solve global questions.
