Also host#2 sees host#1 with a blue cloud, how on earth did that happen?

But your answer to #2.... does the "you can generate the next block in..." message end up having the same exact time on each host?  (I dont have access to 1 of them right now)  or is it possible that by doing this that I double my forging power? cause that would be FREAKING AWESOME

ETA:  im at host#2 right now, and I see host#1's IP in the "active peers" window but its got a red flag on it.  why is that?

Blue cloud means that node is in well-known peers list.

"You can generate the next block in..." message is exactly the same. U can't double ur forging power this way, sorry Smiley

Red flag means that last request to that node was unsuccessful (switch "logPeerCommunication" on to figure out why).

What's optimal strategy to place the fee ? What's the equilibrium. 100 Nxt for anyone with an adequate solution.

It has to be big enough to encourage lots of accounts forging (staying active for the health of the network)  It has to be small enough to promote usage.  I say flat .1% across the board

IF cfb advises against it then fine...

CFB is just a programmer and one of lesser stakeholders. Ppl should stop thinking that I'm an official spokesperson.

You are also our only connection to BCnext at this point: the next Satoshi's second. On this note, I take this opportunity to thank you for all your support here. I've been following the thread and discussions from the beginning without necessarily being active, and can only admire your patience and generosity to help. Please don't disappear after dev Smiley

hell yeah dude I wanna party with CfB next year when our rocket hits the moon!  Im bringing vodka

I understand your role quite well, but you are somewhat the unofficial moderator of this thread since bcnext went incognito, so you should at least say something if you feel the little  facetious references throws the purpose of the thread off track...no one's indicated this is a problem thus far so I assume its ok from time to time.

hypothetical situation regarding a SINGLE account running on 2 different hallmarked nodes, each having different IPs.

First node is hallmarked with a with a date and weight of which I have forgotten both values.
Second node is hallmarked with 2013-12-22 and a weight which I believe is well over the 1st nodes weight.

I started forging on the 1st node, then later started forging on the second node.  Both nodes are allowing TCP7874 inbound from the network to the host.

Question1: Does the entire network just completely ignore the 1st node since it has the older date?

Question2: Is the 2nd node forging with the entire balance of the account's coins?

1. No.
2. Each node will be forging with the entire balance. Hallmark has no connection to Forging.

ah.. that old date just invalidates the hallmark on that node, not the node or the forging account on it... got it.  Also host#2 sees host#1 with a blue cloud, how on earth did that happen?

thanks for stating the obvious!!  Roll Eyes  We know its serious...if you don't know...we sarcastically joke around from time to time using "dogecoin" lines here...it also lessens the very thick tension of the bidding war thats about to start that you may not be aware of for your information!!!
