Psybits,

Please hold off on the press release for a couple days until we can provide you with a domain name.  This domain will host a temporary website until the main Nxt website is ready.  We want this domain included in the press release for marketing purposes.

Has anyone seen this fantastic Nxt video?

http://wideo.co/view/1302961386354824506-nxt

Nice vid!  Wideo makes making videos like that very easy, and the more we have, the better.  I say that semi-facetiously, since I've spent hours working on the wiki and forums this week, and would love to see even a small fraction of the 200K+ in donations Petrik got for this work.

I linked Petrik's video to the wiki.

UPDATE: Someone just dropped me 50K Nxt.  Really, really generous.  I'm going to turn around, though, and divvy it up between myself and a few other folks who have been working hard this week -- opticalcarrier, drexme, and pinarello.  Gonna spread the love, but thanks for sharing it, whoever you are.

Thank you, currently I am working on "NXT mining" video, I hope it will look much better Smiley

here in the Gdoc I shared on nextcoin.org I can now see:

If we combine these people and maybe add some english corrector, we could provide cool videos that would also be translated into many languages...

I would add nexern to the programming list, he created the Nxt. blockchain explorer and is currently working on the nde-client.

Added myself to the list of Dutch translators. So far I've translated optical's article and added it to the official forums. I could do some editing on the English communication as well if need be.

BTW, a good idea with the Wiki, I created a Czech version of the video and inserted it into "my" czech wikia too Smiley But only for now, I guess in some future we will have nicer vids Smiley

Any idea why "Generated an incorrect block. Waiting for the next one..."
It's been running like this for hours and not a single valid block was generated.
Have tried restarting, no difference.
Blocks are up to date

Same node also unable to send transaction.

I got tired of typing api requests manually in the browser url, and put together a single html page with the ones I most commonly use.

I just added the ones from your page that I was missing to nxtbase.

They just return JSON at the moment.

I got tired of typing api requests manually in the browser url, and put together a single html page with the ones I most commonly use. To run it from localhost, save it as nxt/webapps/root/admin.html and then go to https://localhost:7875/admin.html . You can see what it looks like at https://nxt.airdns.org:7875/admin.html . how do i set up a server? I've got the java running, and login locally, do I need a static ip?
- the static IP is the best. If you have dynamic, but rarely changeable IP, you can use it.  Better option is to buy cheap VPS (5$/month), and run Nxt on 24/7 basis. It also helps to strengthening Nxt network. You can try my VPS (https://nxtboot.no-ip.biz:7875/) from your smartphone.

I'd like to ask about the planned mobile future for nxt.
- why are you saying "future" ? Did you try to open your server (http://yourserver:7875/) in your smartphone? It works for me on my android smartphone.

I'd like to ask about the planned mobile future for nxt.

I assume this current java environment is part of the alpha stage, and would expect a more user friendly "app" once it matures

What are the plans on this?

thanks and excited

I'm trying to push an idea to separate Nxt development into:
1. Core development
2. Client development

Lightweight clients r supposed to connect to private or public nodes. The only requirement to client soft is that it must know how to sign transactions.

Nxt core will be accessible via HTTP, HTTPS and SPDY. The protocol is based on JSON. All these things make it very simple to develop client software.

dont plan, as in *ever*?  or just waiting on source release / official launch?

They mean "We are not planning".
