Update on nxtFreeRider dev:
After that a much needed three-day break from coding on FreeRider, I am continuing to get the thing more solid.
The alpha version that I have published is probably unusable for most people, but I felt it was neccessary to maintain momentum and provide some measure of credibility in respect do that I am capable of operating the nxt api backend.
So even if the gui experience is mostly inoperable atm,
I did release it because nxtFreeRider provides somehing that all the other clients do NOT at the moment:
That is a fully open sourced python implementation for api communication!
I am refactoring full force, and I'm confident that the first USABLE version won't take another 5 weeks.

I have experimented with it a bit. It is extremely complicated. You have to install a python daemon. Then you have to talk to it via RPC, and it then talks to bitcoind via another RPC.
In principle, it works. In practice, they have along way to go.

Something definitely wrong with forging algo, because in the real blockchain we only have ~800 blocks per 24h (instead of 1440). And sometimes we have ~20 min between the blocks - it is fault in the algo, not dispersion of probabilities.

What exactly does counterparty do (besides decentralized exchange?) I was never clear on this, I'm not sure why people burned over 2k BTC for it. Does it run directly on Bitcoin blockchain as well? (Slow...)
Just the thought of how many NXT they could have gotten with over 2k BTC makes my stomach sick!?!
Yep it does appear run on BTC Blockchain - so slow.
Asset Exchange and Betting which are very similar in function.
And yes that 2K BTC would have been much better in NXT.

Voting System still could be used to influence on autonomous scripts which r the only ones that control accounts.
