No guessing required. The hacker just went through two million or so bitcoin addresses with money in it (could be done in two seconds) and found his account. His password was not random.

Regarding wesleyh client on NXT, can I put my first account to forge ... logout and then enter the second account so that both are forging?

I am actually using wesleyh on the main net now. I assume it is already safe right to use it?

Thanks for posting the password. Your 64bit account ID was not hacked. You had a very weak password (a bitcoin address with transaction history on bitcoin blochchain)

It has nothing to do with the length of the password. A random 15 char password would have been much stronger than a known bitcoin address with transaction history.

I sent a few NXT to your account and was able to send it back out using your passphrase, so it indeed was not a 64bit collision. if it was then I would not be able to use your passphrase to send. not sure, but I suspect we may not have even been able log back into any client with that passphrase if indeed it was a 64bit collision. whoever is out there offline bruteforcing the blockchain, must have guessed it on you. sorry dude

I was playing with dgex.com today and mistakenly made an order to buy NAS 10 times more than i had BTC. Without any exploit, dgex.com accepted my order, it was placed in orderbook and BTC balance became correspondingly negative Shocked

It was limit order far from current price so it was not filled. When i realized that something went wrong i cancelled it and made correct order. Roll Eyes

May be someone also discovered that error and used it for bad Angry
