Really sorry for the absent of the Hong Kong (June 24/25) conference for my family reason.
We need to recruit other members for the conference.

Are you aware of any Chinese people in the NXT community living nearby?
Yes ,I have contacted my two friends, they may be willing to attend the Inside bitcoins series conference in  Hong Kong, China ,June 24-25, 2014.
Their BTT user name are yanlap and lingdu22.
And them will confirm this soon.

Big exchange push here, could certainly use everyone's help:

We have 30 swarm people, where are they?

Weekend, always slow at this time.  Swarm just went out awhile ago, some people like to decompress on the weekend.. we're the crazy ones working on a Sat. Smiley

I've already hassled Cryptsy, opened account on Bittrex with SUPPORT_NXT code and I'm going to give the BTC38 sign-up a try sometime soon.

That pretty much covers the big exchanges, except BTC-e, who will just say that they are thinking about it.
I kinda feel that the smaller exchanges are more trouble than they are worth, tbh, one of the exchanges that folded today (NEWALTEX) had a total of 174 NXT in buy/sell orders.
We need to be on BTC38 and Cryptsy, the smaller exchanges will follow once that happens.

On the subject of small exchanges with (so far) no/low trading volume, check out:

BTT thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-swiss-coin-exchange-wwwswisscexcom-443205
They aren't doing much right now, but I sense dedication and professionalism.

Great job!!

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/markets/info

- Kraken is above Cryptsy (chart snapshot above)
- FxBTC is just under Cryptsy
- mcxNow below FxBTC
- VirWox, while smaller, opens us up to a different market
- CryptoAve, while brand new, USD pairs with integrated merchant tools

I believe those are all worth an email in the swarm personally.

2.   Right now, Nxt is completely decentralized digital currency.

Only "right now"? It sounds like that Wink

The tone is so anti bitcoin  Undecided

We need a nice, simple "What is NXT" video like the draft on www.mynxt.org/beta right now. Your's would be more in-depth and technical. Well, we need both, I think. But please, somebody needs to work on the one on vimeo.

I've been working on a new script for the Nxt video in last days, since a lot has changed since early January, when it was released. The script now looks like:

Quote
What is Nxt?

2.   Right now, Nxt is completely decentralized digital currency. It is very fast, secure and green. All transactions and accounts are simply stored on the network.

3.   As a second generation cryptocurrency, Nxt has a lot to offer. There is no such thing as Bitcoin mining in Nxt! It cannot be centralized in any Iceland facility. To maintain the Nxt network, users are rewarded for generating transaction blocks. They claim the transaction fees, paid by others. This is how Bitcoin will work in 100 years.

4.   Nxt’s code already supports colored coins, which is method for designating specific coins and tying them to physical property. This lets Nxt run a decentralized asset exchange that can be used to trade Nxt for other goods - everything from other currencies to physical objects.  How does this work?  You send your asset to the Nxt exchange gateway and the gateway issues the asset on the Nxt network by creating colored coins to represent it.  Your asset is then transferable on Nxt, and can be traded with anyone. You can already use it as a kickstarter for crowdfunding projects.

5.   Nxt also has many socializing features. Alias System can turn your Nxt account number into almost any name you want. You can use secure, private mechanisms for sharing DNS names, phone numbers, account numbers, and more. In addition, you can chat and send messages to other users from the Nxt client interface, through the distributed, peer-to-peer network. Very soon you will be able to use all social applications in decentralized Nxt network: Twitter, Facebook or Gmail without worrying about government espionage or censorship. Nxt also implemented a decentralize Voting System, so that users can collaborate to make important decisions, such as releasing the source code for the Nxt project to the public.

6. Nxt Arbitrary Messages lead us to the true decentralized web - torrent files have already been sent via this network. With multiple parallel blockchains running side-by-side, Nxt will be able to provide cloud storage and file sharing apps. The principle behind these applications is using different blockchains for different purposes: one for file storage, one for messages, and so on. Each app will use only a specific blockchain(s) and won't be spammed by the others.

7. Very soon will be published first game built on top of the Nxt network: a decentralized Poker game. Nxt will provide a platform for easy creation of new currencies. They will be maintained on Nxt blockchain, but they will have their own environment. Nxt also supports integrated, peer-to-peer exchanges so you don’t have to pay high fees to service providers. It is very simple to create new applications for Nxt, it is almost like Lego. Developers can build anything they imagine on top of Nxt.

8. Other functions based on Zerocoin and mixing services can provide a completely anonymous infrastructure that was originally built in the Phantom protocol - a decentralized network that focuses on the anonymization of users. Currently, Bitcoin and Nxt are only pseudonymous. With the Zerocoin feature integrated within the NXT core, it will be mathematically infeasible to link the particular coins used by each user.

9.   Nxt is not a copy of Bitcoin!  Nxt builds on the ideas behind Bitcoin, but does it all with completely new code, written from scratch. Why? Analysis proofed, that Bitcoin uses 2,900 times more energy to power the network than Nxt and also Bitcoin costs 820 times more than Nxt to power the same network. So the Nxt network is very energy efficient. Why waste almost 3,000 more energy using a Bitcoin or any of his clones, when we don’t have to? Nxt doesn’t require massive amounts of computing power, so it's very green in power consumption, you can even run Nxt on iPhones, Android devices, and $35 computers like the Raspberry Pi.

10. Nxt is one step ahead of all other decentralized platforms thanks to its start as a cryptocurrency. It is now ready to become a new decentralized internet. Nxt provides a powerful and flexible platform for developers, allowing them to easily develop new applications for Nxt. Thanks to great community behind it, as evidenced by the thousands of pages on the Nxt Bitcointalk “pub” thread, Nxt has achieved so much in such little time. Anyone can join this fantastic group of open minded individuals and make a positive contribution. For more info see nxt.org

I think we don't need to explain mining there... Mining is not important for Nxt ordinary users + there already is a video for that Cheesy

As I said in the marketing thread, I'm currently re-structuring mynxt.org to make it a better place for newcomers and developers to start with Nxt. Less cluttered, easy-access to important information etc.

...

Here is a quick look at the current beta-version of the new structure: http://mynxt.org/beta/
As always: suggestion, criticism and ideas are very welcome.

Hey Salsacz, I didn't get an answer to this:

The Nxtmyth papers - are they for internal use only, or should I publish them on the site as a series as well?
I think you can publish anything that is on: http://nxtcoin.blogspot.com/

but please publish our Press release too: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwAGADgnQcrtR3ZCdVRkNExZSVE/edit
